Another huge benefit of not drinking is your liver will be healthy :) The liver does so much for our body-makes clotting factors for our blood, breaks down a waste product called ammonia (which if it is high, it can be toxic to the brain and it really really alters people's mental status), produces bile to break down fats, helps the body with regulating blood sugar to keep your blood sugar from going too low, it stores iron for our body, it helps make proteins for our body, and more!. So not drinking besides all of the above you mentioned will help keep your liver working better

The only thing is sometimes you don't know when you are drunk. Some people are functional drunkards! So how would you know WHEN you or someone is drunk. Maybe give an alcohol test to determine level. But we don't always know we're drunk if we're still functioning normal. Proverbs 20 says wine is a mocker and strong drink is raging! I choose to stay clear of it all!!!! That way i don't have to wonder am I drunk and I can have healthy organs! Be blessed!!!

Such a good explanation using alcohol. Everybody needs to use wisdom in that area and is responsible for themselves.
I have a legit question. The church I attend is very conservative and nothing wrong with that. However, i do believe the context of 'being a stumbling block' to someone else gets heavily abused there. For example, women are required to wear skirts/dresses only and a headcovering to the service and when praying (in church and when getting together). Now there is a lot of debate on those topics and i dont necessarily agree with that but am told to follow the church rules and regulations, and if you don't you're disobedient to the authority there. For example, i would be seen as a stumbling block if i chose to not wear a head covering anymore because i believe my hair is my covering and it's just tradition and not necessary for God to be pleased with me. Would that make me a stumbling block to the people in my church that disagree with me and think I should be wearing a head covering? Same goes for wearing pants outside of church, if I'm in the store or at home and somebody from my church sees me.. does that make me a stumbling block? I feel like that gets abused there to a level where i have to meet their standard of righteousness.
I would appreciate some comments on this.

Just my experience friend....If there are rules and regulations around clothing....there is greater temptation to impact the Churches theology...I saw more red flags over with a particular Church that had the dress code.
If you feel uncomfortable dressing differently or matching up than maybe worth considering it's not the place for you.
Our calvary road is hard enough without the challenges of Church guilt trips
I found myself becoming more judgmental of others around this particular teaching....but I stress that this may not be your experience, however,to young followers in the faith they can be impacted negatively by such things
      Blessings

We all know idols are not real, but we know Satan is real, what about food offered to Satan? Side note as Christians we know God is more powerful than Satan and even Satan yeilds to God's commands

Applying 1 Corinthians 8 to alcohol is not only lazy but is to completely miss the point.
