As a Michigan fan, this was the first time I watched the national championship highlights. It would make me too depressed
as disappointing as that final game was, let's face it the only team that anyone picked to possibly beat Villanova that year was Virginia, and those guys got blown out in the 1st round. everyone else was a sacrificial lamb
don't forget about the crazy wins over Houston and Loyola-Chicago in the Final Four. Those were awesome and make me excited for the next March madness
2013?
No one was beating Villanova that year. What was more soul crushing was the 2013 run. The refs calling a foul on Trey Burke’s block.
This was my favorite year for Michigan basketball. So many accomplishments such as sweeping state, b2b bigten champs, the shot, Final 4, national title game and school record 33 win season. As a UM fan, I couldn't really ask for much more out of Beilein.

If you think about it, the players on that 2018 national runner-up team have done better in the NBA than the guys from that 2013 national runner -up team .
2018-Wagner, Robinson, Poole and Livers, saw Poole win title and Robinson has played for 2 titles.
2013-McGary, Staukas and Burke were busts, GRIII got some NBA checks while Hardaway Jr. had been inefficient.
LaVert has been the best NBA player.
Who else watching this to gear themselves up for this month??
Right here my g. Hoping we get state back on Saturday, to at least share with purdue. Although I find that dumb, because in the event we do win, and purdue wins their game, we tie. Tiebreaker should be the head to head, in which we won, so we should get trophy outright. But head to head only matters for tournament seeding apparently... either way, get state back lol.

Lol, Sparty says you're overrated. Michigan will be lucky to escape the first weekend this year.
@@snuffedtorch3683 sparty had a good game plan for us, but you can't say Michigan is overrated because they beat purdue, a team that swept sparty, the beat unc, who beat duke twice, and popped the reigning Champs Villanova for 27. Who knows, Michigan state got us good, but it's all about the match ups and who's got the right gameplan.
@@brandonkortan2959 I'll give you the Purdue sweep. However, you beat Carolina very early in the year when they were figuring themselves out. Carolina beat Duke without their leader both times. Zion gives them energy. And lastly, Villanova is nowhere near the caliber they were last year lol. They'll be like a 7 seed.

Fake national championship appearance. Biggest cakewalk I’ve ever seen
No such thing. If 11th seeded Loyola Chicago is in the final four, they are not a cakewalk, they are the team to beat. There is no cakewalk in march madness, at some point, and even at multiple, you have to play a team that is on fire, regardless of how it looks on the surface.
