First of all, congratulations Brian. This has to be one of the best interviews that I have ever seen with a sitting President. It was so calm and eloquent which allowed us to truly get to know Biden and his vision for our country. I wish Presidential debates were done in a more civilized manner so we can measure up the candidates. (Not necessarily Biden or that other person). As you know they sometimes ask ridiculous questions or the mediator can't control the flow of them. Anyway, this was very well done and it had to be total honor to be able to do this. He is OUR president!
This quickly went from a formal interview to an interesting CONVERSATION. I really appreciate listening to the President speak freely, rather than anchored to specific talking-points. What really shines is his broad view and understanding of the intricacies of geopolitics.

This was one of the most genuine, real conversations between a president and an interviewer I’ve seen in awhile. I think that was one of the most powerful aspects of this talk. Common decency and character matter. At the end of the day Joe Biden is a human being just like anyone else is. He wants to change the world and create a legacy grounded in equality, respect, dignity and collaboration. But he does have flaws. And all you right wing knuckle heads out there need to stop pretending that those flaws equate to weakness. You can either embody those flaws gracefully, or you can project your flaws out onto the world and bring your country down with it like trump did. Great interview!

I’d love to see you have a follow-up interview with President Biden this year before the 2024 elections. He comes across much better in this situation than in states of the union addresses or when before a room full of reporters. Also, I’d love to see him have “fireside chats” with Americans. My impression was anytime he fumbled words a bit was due to his stutter, and perhaps a little from age not mentally, but physically. My uncle speaks in a similar way but he’s sharp as a tack.

Having a president who can be eloquent, speak concisely, and talk about important issues with dedication and gravitas without trying to make everything about himself or endlessly repeating 100% debunked lies and conspiracy theories or simply hurling insults and racist comments is quite refreshing.
