  • Huell traces the history of the Lindbergh Beacon, which was discovered at a city warehouse in the 1990s, restored to its original glory, and now shines over downtown Los Angeles from the top of City Hall. We also revisit Huell's original segment on the Beacon, when Project Restore rededicated the Beacon in the L.A.X. terminal after its 50-year absence.

    it's rather eerie at moment 20:21 when he announces the date, because just days later, history would once again be made in Los Angeles, though in a completely different manner.

    the griffith park observatory was started construction 1933. Could that have been the reason for the red light replacing the beacon that year?

    • @Mr22thou
      @Mr22thou 4 роки тому

      I'd rather they spend 10 million dollars to restore a piece of history, than to give a single dollar to some moocher who has a list of excuses why they won't get a job.
