- Huell traces the history of the Lindbergh Beacon, which was discovered at a city warehouse in the 1990s, restored to its original glory, and now shines over downtown Los Angeles from the top of City Hall. We also revisit Huell's original segment on the Beacon, when Project Restore rededicated the Beacon in the L.A.X. terminal after its 50-year absence.

it's rather eerie at moment 20:21 when he announces the date, because just days later, history would once again be made in Los Angeles, though in a completely different manner.

Huell was in great shape, so if he was complaining about that climb, it must have really been tough!

Went too l.a. city hall,fieldtrip,grammerschool,Will Rodgers, elementary school, Lynwood, California, 6th grade class,mr.charles holland,teacher, thank you for being so kind too all us kids,the field trips,were great,as was the class,from hangtown California. Didn't like the night at the top

In 2023 watching a video posted in 2015 which revisits a video from 1992 which revisits a video from 1990.
I was wondering how they bring that heavy thing up and down from a building that high, very cool, I hope the light is still up there.

January 7, 2013. He was 67, but looked so much younger.

the griffith park observatory was started construction 1933. Could that have been the reason for the red light replacing the beacon that year?
No. That had nothing to do with it. If you watched the video and payed attention, you would have heard the explanation.

Great to see how taxpayer money is being used. All those city employees making good money hard at work restoring the beacon, all on the public coin. These politicians never will get a clue it seems
that's nothing compared to the 12 million dollars A DAY that the terrorist state of israel extort from America !!!
I'd rather they spend 10 million dollars to restore a piece of history, than to give a single dollar to some moocher who has a list of excuses why they won't get a job.
