That woman had traction alopecia from the braids from 6 months ago. That’s why her edges was thin. She just need to accept she just maybe too old to have individual braids with her hair thinning and not being able to withstand the pain
My male cousin once told me he thought older women should not wear braids. I was in my 50’s. I wasn’t wearing braids or extensions but nevertheless at the time I was offended! Now however, I’m thinking I was too sensitive and he was probably right 🤷🏾♀️ However this I can say, NO ELDERLY PERSON SHOULD HAVE PURPLE HAIR AND PARADE IT ON NATIONAL TELEVISION. 🤦🏽♀️ 😊
@@traceyjackson4470he wasn’t saying as in “you’re too old to wear them” it’s just as you age you hair tend to thin and putting that weight all over your head will cause you to lose some hair and sometimes it won’t grow back. But she was definitely too old for the purple hair lol
I can tell by the defendants demeanor, she’s unprofessional & was probably irritated the client was tender headed. I see it so much. Braids can be tight, but should NOT hurt!
This woman doesn't know how to make good hair decisions. Like we all can't see the the purple hair um that color don't help save yo hair either ma'am. She needs someone to be responsible for what style she chooses. The stylist gave her opinion so Ms Lock is not at fault.
The customer is a senior, and the older you get... yes your hair gets thinner and you can't take braiding pain. She should not have went to get extension in her hair tho! She should make her granddaughter pay for her a wash & set😁

Microbraids are very tight and the client is warned about the pain and what to do about it. Ask any braiding stylist, and that person will gladly educate you on how tight micro braiding is on the scalp and head. Very painful for a few days.
That's not hair salons are supposed to work. Unfortunately, as a Black woman, i stopped going to Black Salons because of this. If I spend $300-400 dollars, that's my time. When I started going to other salons , if I spent $400, they only took care of me. Never doing multiple people.

I see you deleted your other comment Star Trek. Both of my grandmothers are long dead and my mother would agree with my comment 😂 how do you know I am not old myself?
I so relate with the 1st complaint. People that know braids don't give you a headache
$8000 for a hospital bad??? Unless the father didn't have any medical insurance, that's not possible
Braids should not hurt. They should be firm and secured, but not causing major pain.
agreed!
Sadly, braiders don't shampoo your hair. Hell, half the stylist don't shampoo today

Added on top of the ones she probably had 6 months before the 6 months. Repeat braiding makes your hair line go further and further back

I don't like the hairstyles attitude 😂its annoying
Judge Lake couldn't even look at the defendant at first when she said "miss"
That's not a miss your honor

If you’re really good at braiding it should not cause that type of pain.

The people who do the best braids braid the tightest in my experience.

Yes. She really had a horrible attitude. I would never go to someone like that to get my hair done

What the hell is the finger thing with miss Locke?
Individual braids do not have to be tight.
