@@christopheclugston yes I do. A beautiful polished 12 inch steel blade and cocabola wood dogbone Handel. It's perfect and is unbelievably lively in the hand. Worth every penny.

Thank you so much for your book, Bill, I can honestly say that it changed my outlook on knives as a whole. I already liked the bowie, now I really understand what makes it so incredibly deadly-I always wondered what was the deadliest blade, now I know. I own some factory and one forged Damascus "small" bowie, looking for the discontinued Helle's Belle.I'd like to ask, how much do you ask for a custom bowie, carbon or Damascus, and how long is the wait, if you're still taking orders?

If given a choice I rather carry a bowie blade than a tanto point

No such thing as a "Tanto" point. That is an incorrect, bastardized, ignorant term.
Tanto is a Japanese word that refers to the shorter blade carried by Samurai, it is not a description of the kissaki (point). Most Tanto did not have that abrupt 45° beveled Kissaki. Cold Steel did that in the 80s with their model, and people began thinking that was a reference to their type of point. It is not.
