Steven, you are the man! Crazy I bought the 2021 Highlander Plat new and thought it had the HUD but never saw it work or figured out how to use it. Now that it is April 2023 and I have 38K miles I learned from you (this video) how to turn it on. I always assume the cutout was there but the car wasn't necessarily equipped with it. I turned it on in the setting and will see what happens . Thanks. Agree with Gerald, video for the entire manual would be great!
You did something to turn on and off lane assist. What was that? I've accidentally turned mine off and it's showing the compass. I want the lane assist back and can't figure that out.
HI Steve, I just bought a new Toyota Highlander Platinum 2021. I am in California so unfortunately couldn't come to you! I have been enjoying your videos. They get to the point, are clear and explain a lot! The only thing I am disappointed in on this vehicle is the passenger front seat. It seems strange that Toyota would not give lumbar support and the seat up/down feature to it at the top trim level. Do you know if there is anything after market that can be done?
Hey steven i have a Hud in my highlander 2021and while cleaning the dash the plastic cover misplaced or cracked. Its not a dealbreaker i can still see the image but there is a thin line on the displayed image. My question is , if i completely take the plastic cover off , will the image still be there ? is that plastic cover there to protect it from dust or it plays a major role in displaying the image? I`tys just annoying to see the image with a line . If its too risky i wouldn`t mess with it.Any advice? By the way my warranty has expired and it might cost me an arm n leg to have this repaired. Any advice sir?

not reallly. toyota saves that for lexus. you could replace the seat. there may be upholstery companies that could do something

The system is called road sign detection. It is part of toyota safety sense 2.0. It uses a camera to see the sign and then place it in your view.
