I so agree. This was the version I grew up with. I ended up working for them in college for a brief period of time, too. All the long time employees agreed that this was the best version of the show.
@@jeremyharris7245 Thank you, I thought I was the only one who thought this version was the best compared to the previous acts that have come and gone. Yet, I do miss those old days when they used Riddle Of Steel from Conan The Barbarian as the theme to the final battle. I kinda feel like the show degraded when the queen was inserted into the show and the combat seemed to be dumbed down a bit. But at the same time, having the queen as a story plot still retains historic accuracy since the idea was to follow after historical images like Queen Elizabeth and other Biblical female leaders like Esther (Hadassah) and Deborah when the kingdom was absent from a king. The story does have room for improvement.
@@mkaplan1383 Remember when they used the score to El Cid? The 2002 version was really a major enhancement because it was the first time an original score was used. All the shows since then have never measured up. I don't really know why, but that's how it's been. I think having the Queen is a fantastic addition, but the storytelling is till not up to par. I hope this changes soon!

I think the battle theme from Red Sonja was used in one of knight battles, and Borodian - Prince Igor in the first knight battle after both knights are knocked off their horse.
@@mkaplan1383 Yes I think I remember that! I would say more Queen Isabella than Elizabeth, but you're absolutely right! I also find it fascinating that Daniel May's first score pretty much was derived from all of those pieces that they used before! If you listen closely you can hear it!
R&Y was spared during his fight and the twist was that there was nobody left alive to fight the "bad guy", except for him. The B&W knight was killed by the bad guy. Such a good show.
