40-60km a day

      Sir given talaga yan 2.8L ba naman na makina, mas malaking engine displacement is more fuel consumption generally speaking. Given the terrible traffic conditions sa Pilipinas, very good yan na malaki talaga natitipid niyo with your brand new car na 1.0 lang ang engine displacement. On the flip side, what I personally dont like sa mga bagong mga makina, ang ginagawa nila sa mga mabababang displacement engines ay ginagagawang turbo charged to compensate with the loss of power. Long term effect niyan ay accelerated wear sa engine, kayat mas maselan ang maintenance ng mga mas modelong mga sasakyan kung ikukumpara mo sa medyo lumang modelo tulad nga nitong revo.

    My auntie bought an ex Revo taxi from Baguio back in 2017. It’s a 2003 GLX. Up to now, apart from the usual upkeep like change oil and tires, they haven’t replaced anything yet except the headlights. Can’t believe you spent that much over the past 3 years of ownership. Keep in mind the ones bought by auntie is an ex taxi so definitely abused.

      True sir, they're built like tanks and they are there to last. Its already given na malakas talaga sa fuel ito since the engine displacement is 2.0. That's still much better than modern "underpowered" engines that has a turbo in it compensating for the power loss then gets premature wear then failed before its time - what a joke.

      Well ganyan talaga nasa Canada ka so mas mahal talaga mag-maintain ng sasakyan. Iba kase market and labor dito sa pinas so murang mura na talaga magmaintain ng sasakyan. Tapos meron pa Shopee and Lazada na minsan mas maayos pa bumili dun ng spare parts kesa sa mga meron stores. Nakaraan lang bumili ako ng back door stay ng Revo ko sa store, wala pa isang linggo palyado na. Okay lang naman mura lang pero mas mura pa sa Lazada, dun ko binili ayon ilang buwan na sakin mas mura pa lalo sa store. Ultimo head unit, sa Lazada ko binili tapos ako na rin nagkabit. Halagang 3k meron na ko 4GB RAM na Android Auto/Carplay Head unit with backing camera. Tiis lang mag-aral at mag DIY para makamura sa repairs and installation.
      Sinabi na rin ni Revonatics na 300k lang nagastos nya overall sa 3 years of ownership all in kasama repair and maintenance. Impossible mo makuha ganyang value sa Canada kasama maintenance and car purchase cost (for an SUV).

    • @GabeVillar
      @GabeVillar 3 місяці тому

      Natigil ang gastos for repairs? So walang PMS ang brand new car? What a weird take.
      Instead sa repairs, sa monthly finance napupunta pera? Again another weird take. Obviously wala ka gastos sa repair pero meron ka gagastusin sa monthly ammortization ng sasakyan. Magkano ba monthly ammortization ng brand new sasakyan now vs. dun sa TOTAL cost of ownership ni Revonatics na almost less than 10k pesos per month? Kasama na dun yung repairs, maintenance and yung upfront cost nya sa Revo itself. So technically, solid 10k pesos per month for 3 years ownership on a very stable car with few issues.
      Obviously Canada is a different place. Ang laki ng daan tapos very far and few gas places or even repair shops along the way. Nandun talaga yung takot driving an old car. But its very different here in the Philippines. Even roads leading to provinces meron at meron mga car repair shops dyan. Very different so its very valid owning an old car in the Philippines. Ultimo kapitbahay namin marunong gumawa ng sasakyan eh. Cant say the same siguro with your Canadian neighbors.

    • @joefilms2775
      @joefilms2775 3 місяці тому

      @@GabeVillar Exactly hindi nangangahulugan na brand new ang sasakyan ay wala ng gastos. E montly ammortization palang ay mababa na ang 10k per month jan, wala pa doon yung insurance which is mga 30k per year at least, wala pa doon yung mga regular na PMS sa casa. In fact mas mahal ang maintenance ng brand new na sasakyan dahil isang PMS palang e mababa na ang 10k jan o higit pa at napaka basic lang ang scope of work niyan. Ako I own a 20 year old car 1st gen vios, I have minor issues here and there but I barely spend 5k per month for maintenance and repairs not even 3k as my conservative estimate but to put things in context e marunog din ako mag DIY kahit papaano. Plus older cars are not so hard to work on so bonus yun sakin. To put things in perspective; old cars can be reasonably reliable, fairly cheap to own and maintain, and a pleasure to have if you know how to maintain your vehicle, know some DIY work especially when it comes to basic maintenance (change oil, change coolant, and so much more) and you are a diligent and resposible car owner who never take things for granted.

      @@roadtigermixvlog kung di ka maayos sa maintenance at updated sa servicing ng sasakyan mo ay sadyang pwede kang itirik nito mapa luma man o bago.
      Preventive maintenance is the key. I am driving 20+ year old car and I diligently maintain it and do most of the basic stuff myself, I never had a major breakdown like engine trouble, underchassis issue related accident/trouble. The only breakdown that I have encountered for the past 10 years that I've had my car is a bad battery (normal as the battery gets older - every 3 years and up), and a flat tire (if im really unlucky).
      Things that I do DIY: change oil every 6mos or 5000kms whichever comes first, change coolant and flush cooling system every 1yr, clean throttle body, change spark plugs, change radiator hoses and the radiator itself every five years (changed mine twice for the past 10 years), change air cleaner filter - every year, change brake pads and cleaning the brakes, change brake fluid, inspect engine thermostat and replace the thermostat gasket, change drive belts, basic inspection like fluid levels and leaks, checking battery voltage and condition (i have a cheap analyzer tool for that), change bulbs and lights if they're busted (rarely happens), inspect blown fuses, inspection and change rear wheel bearing assembly, change broken stud bolts (im im really unlucky due to bad lognut torquing of stupid tiremen),generally basic inspection if the essential items in your car ar working the way that they should.
      Maintenance that I leave to the pros: I bring my car to a reputable underchassis specialist shop for proper inspection of the vehicle's underchassis components every 6mos or so as a safety and preventive measure. Underchassis parts changing may vary depending on how you use your vehicle but for most they will last a really long time 5 years and up if you do take care of your car.
      I also would like to add that getting an alignment (computerized) every 10k to 15k kms provided that your underchassis components are all in good condition or get an alignment everytime you need change any underchassis components (which you should anyways and they're fairly and reasonably priced around 500 to 800 pesos roughly depending on where you live).
      Bottom line older cars are relatively easy to work on, they're pretty basic compared to today's overly engineered technology. Parts are really abundant and are relatively cheaper. It's also easier to learn things about your vehicle because they are relatively simple.
      So my question to people especially who are fans of brand new modern cars. Which vehicle do you guys want: a new vehicle that may work really nice, feels great at first but a lot more things can go wrong along the way or an older vehicle which is far from perfect but has fewer things to go wrong down the road? This applies if both people who owns their vehicles knows what they're doing.
      You guys be the judge. Keep your comments coming.
