We got the best QB in the draft! Just watch. He's going to be the best long term QB in this draft. He's a stud and he's young. The kids an alpha don't let the interview's fool you. This kid has an edge to him and he's just like Brady when it comes to competitiveness he hates to lose at anything. According to friends family and coaches the kid is a work a holic. He'll put in the time and effort to improve. He's also shown loyalty to his team as well. The kid could have left NC and gone to a stacked team to improve his stats but he stayed in NC and put the team on his back. This kid was the NC team he carried it. He didn't have the talent or protection these other top QB had and he still put himself 2nd in the draft. We didn't get the third best QB we got the second best and he fell to us. Everyone needs to stop thinking we got number 3 we got number 2 at the third slot. We just got the gift of a lifetime.
What put me at ease is he dealt with adversity in college and had to elevate as opposed to Mac who cruised on a 5 star team and broke down mentally at the first sign of discomfort. Really hoping Maye is a hit !
There is no world where Maye is going to be “terrible”. He might not be great in the end but terrible is not how you get into the NFL. Will he achieve his ultimate success, only He can make that happen with work ethic and taking in the coaching. But he was NEVER terrible in college on a pretty bad team. That shows he’s better than the team around him, which Mac could never do.

The bills couldn't pay a first Round pick .they had to trade down to pay a 2nd rounder and still basically got what they wanted..that team is in some trouble

More importantly I wasn’t comparing the qb potential or play if maye or Mac but rather the pats organization making the same mistake again in the draft by trying to replace Tom with a high draft pick instead of building a better team!

Dumb take. Nothing like Mac. Played with a much worse team in college & doesnt “fold under pressure”. He actually has good pocket presence for how awful his o line was. Gets happy feet at times which isn’t great but it’s fixable, he’ll need to sit for a bit.
The “build the team before drafting a QB” is such a pipe dream. They’re not trying to replace Brady. They’re trying to get a good QB. “Building a team” and then being forced to pick a low rated QB prospect is trying to replace Brady. The 9ers got lucky with Purdy.
@@IEdjumacate you made my point exactly! The niners is a perfect example of how to win and compete @ a high level! Look at what they sacrificed for a high qb pick who was a complete bust! That was a failure! The good thing is they built a solid team with playmakers everywhere and was highly competitive and is still in a position to win a championship even with a low pick qb!
Pats had a formula now they are getting away from it!
I would rather bring in a good qb with experience vs drafting a high pick qb !
