Thanks for watching Tim! I think Sven did a really good job, particularly as he had no preparation time at all, he had never seen or heard of me five minutes before we started to film this. He also said that I was a cool person for someone of my age which I took as a compliment!
@@VanlifewithAlan Well that's amazing because he wasn't camera shy at all & came across as a natural! Congratulations to you Alan too for you're youthful appearance.
Those steering wheel buttons are annoyingly small. However it will be lovely when we actually see these coming through and with all the new stuff, not all of those things are standard though and a lot of Motorhomes won't have the digital dash for this year I believe and we can't get all the packs yet. I'm a Motorhome dealer and its a nightmare lol!
Paint of ducato 2022 is still pretty bad, so expect scratches and other stuff even at low mileage. On The other hand our ducato inside has Digital mirror, tablet and other stuff and also automatic gearbox which is very good ( didnt test agressive driving but its cool gearbox to use)
Great Video Alan! nice to see some of that too. Plus on the new fiat on the masterswitch. Minus on the electric H-brake. (that will "brake", and cost aalot; to fix.. What about chairs? Aircusioned yet?? And of course adjustable armrests... Would be nice to compare different models and brands.. Exellent Job mate!
Does anyone know if it's possible to retrofit the modern instrument cluster on a 2021 model? I have the new 9 gear automatic gear box but would love to have the new steering wheel and instrument cluster.
Hi Alan how are you doing? I just love your videos. I need your help, planning to buy a Malibu 540 2022, but I am finding very difficult to find the CO2 NEDC g/km for the Ducato models. As I have a disability, I avoid taxes purchasing a campervan with emissions less than 180 g/km CO2 NEDC. I really appreciate your help and wish you the best.
Antonio, the only spec sheet I have is this one for the previous generation : www.fiatprofessional-me.com/me/CMSEN/Pdf/Ducato_Goods_Tech_Spec_nov14.pdf The 2.3 litre, 140hp is 179g/km on the seventh generation and I presume the eighth generation is better. I suggest you ask the dealer to supply this information, if that does not work, I shall be seeing Carthago next month and I can ask them then. If it is urgent now, then I can ask either Carthago or Fiat but I fear that the holiday break has hit us and I won't get a quick answer.
No oil dip stick is the worst idea that the manufacturers have come up with to save money.
Sven’s English is a whole lot better than my German. The cockpit looks good.
It is a lot better than my German too and I have a UA-cam channel in that language!
رائعة؛ اللهم ارزقنا من فضلك واحدة للعمل عليها.
Very interesting as I had been told that the Ducato had come to the end of its life but they now seem to have redeveloped the engine
Fiatducato
Sven you are to be commended for you're command of the English language!! Alan thanks for showing us the new Fiat based series 8 cab!

Quite significant improvement comparing to the predecessor
Trying to take in my head fried today 🌞

Hope to receive mine in April, ordered all digital extras, but adaptive cruise control is not avail due to some microchips shortage, they said.
There is a major shortage of micro chips and circuit boards. A good time to invest in company shares of producers in my opinion!

There was no mention of air cushions at the press conference but Iveco do them!

No adaptive cruise control? Or is it an option that could be added?
Not yet due to supply shortages but they said at the press conference that it will be available once that problem is resolved.
@@VanlifewithAlan Thank You!
