In the beginning there was Hope but during that time, he felt many different emotions. Anger, Sadness, Solitude and Despair. He tries desperately to save Despair but was betrayed and ended up being trapped himself. However, He never gave up and was able to break free again. The message is that Hope will always save Despair even though it may be trapped but Hope will always break free again and strive toward freedom, stronger than ever. This MV represents XZ’s character and personality. It shows his positive attitude, his resilience and his inner strength.

Our dear Xiao Zhan and his fans-XFXz have gone through 10 months of historic bully attack by someone who knows who after his success of CQL. This song have many interpretations. Many people believe that he is talking about the beaten up and healing process during that period. Those himself locked up in boxes represent different emotions such as anger, sad, frustration, solitude, despair , hope etc fighting each other over and over back and fro to beat up and heal each other. I think the lyrics are talking about the complexity of human. When those who claims to be " good and civilized ' people doing those so called " good and civilized " things they have changed to wild people to do cruelty in reality. They are those claimed to be victim of bully but have bully Xiao Zhan more than 5 years up to now even though he has never done anything wrong and nobody found any flaw of him after been followed and spied 24/7 by numerous paparazzi Fortunately, there are always seeds of hope that can sprout into "hope" to break through blockages at the end.

He ends up saving Despair, only to be betrayed and gets locked up in his place, but the seeds of hope are still with him, signifying that there's still hope. Of course, this is a very shallow view/interpretation. Anyway, it's such a profound song and a profound video.
