  • Once you form a company in the U.S., you will want to immediately apply for a U.S. employer identification number (EIN) which is the tax identification number (TIN) for the business.
    Generally, before you apply for the EIN with the IRS (either online or by filing Form SS-4), you always wait until the entity is legally formed under state law.
    Under the IRS rules, however, you technically do not have to wait until the entity is created.
    Although the IRS gives you this flexibility, I always recommend waiting until the entity is created.

    I did it but because I wasn’t aware that I needed to create an llc before getting the ein number, hopefully everything is fine 🙏🏻

    What if the only differences is that the entity say company and the ein doesn’t?
