The Houston Women's Hiking group started in 2016 by the a woman who just wanted to be safe in the woods. It has grown to over 6,000 members. You can find this group on Facebook.

Hoping to join in on some events. I don't really camp anymore, but I do enjoy walking trails. I am hoping that some ladies in the group like to take weekend road trips. I moved here 18 months ago but have been flying to Alaska a lot this past year while my sister battled cancer and I have not been able to see much of Texas. I'm on a 5-year plan and would enjoy going to some of the popular cities, historical sites, or those little unknown treasure spots.
