I'm glad i learned how to read hangul before actually learning how to understand Korean. I can read it, but never knew what I was saying, just knew how to pronounce it. It's easier when you can break up the characters yourself. I was surprised how easily I picked it up. You do a great job helping me understand which tense is used when speaking. My wife is Korean, so she thanks you! 😊
Lately I’ve been picking up Korean a lot easier for some reason which I’m excited about because I love Korea so much.❤ This video was very helpful thank you very much 😊
Thank you so much eonni , you’re the most helpful teacher❤ It’s easy for me to learn Korean after I started watching your videos🎉😊 I love the way you teached us that ‘ ga , na , da , ra , ma , ba , sa and a , ja , cha , ka , ta , pa , hả ‘ at a chant 😮🎉❤ I was very impressed with that❤ Love from India 🇮🇳
hey hailey eonnie thanks for this amazing video but i had some questions with me so pls could u answer it? 1. gippeuda is to be happy so what is haengboghada and where to use it? 2,in the sentence "i dont have contact so im worried" u used andwaesseo but if i use motaesseo will the meaning change coz i heard motaesseo also means to not have? 3. to be bored simsimhada then what is jiruhaeyo? thank u so much sending loads of love from india xoxo
I can answer 1 and 3 for you. 1) gippeuda means joy for the moment, haengboghada means a happy spirit for a long period of time 3) simsimhaeyo means "I am bored", jiruhada is the boring action / thing. Also jiruhada has more of a negative meaning, it indicates that a thing is really uninteresting or unpleasant. But simsimhada rather means that I have nothing to do so I am bored.
Hello, it's the [cause] + "서" + [effect]. It drives the cause-phrase into the effect-phrase. It's very similar to the English word "so", for example: "I scored bad in the test, so I feel bad". And "서" always comes after the verb of the cause-action. You can also use "그래서" instead of "서", and "그래서" is a separate word and means "therefore" or "so". I'm not a legit teacher but I encountered this structure a lot while learning Korean.
Korean is such a beautiful language. Thanks Hailey for your teaching style. I really appreciate how you give us the phonix, korean spelling, and context. Its really good!
Annyounghasseyo Your videos made it super easy for me to understand and learn Korean for and it was also great fun with you Gamsahamnida you are a great teacher Love ❤ from pakistan❤

Hailey I have a question 🙋 please tell me.. Ok listen.. If we can read korean words but don't know the meaning of the word what should we do..... Please tell me pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Hi Hailey, I think I spotted a typo in the example for 기분이 나빠요. If I had to guess, I think we just needed 잘 on this sentence like this: 시험을 못 잘 봐서 기분이 나빠요 Which roughly translates to "I feel bad because I didn't do well on my test". Or can't experience a well result literal translation. 시험을 못 봐서 기분이 나빠요

Is there any difference between 행복하다 and 기쁘다 ?!!🙋🥺
I think the first one means to be happy and the other means to be glad
