Great video Mike. It'd be interesting to try and put that and/or logic into a function. Almost like the sum of an advanced filter. What would also be interesting is to generate the two initial tables from a standard data set first! It's got me thinking this one!
We do that in my Stats classes. A simple cross tab pivottable. Then you can just use % of Grand Total. However, often in econ and stats we get tables that are pre-made cross tabs, and so a simple dynamic spilled array formula will get you to a joint prob table, and than various probabilities are easier to get than formuals. Although, Sunday's up and coming EMT shows formulas on a full data set to do the counting part of this : )
Hey Mike, can you explain to me why; for every 10 viewers only 1 clicks the like button? How does a person watch the quality, simplicity and consistency of your videos and not take the nanosecond to click like? I refuse to believe they didn't like it. Thank you again for spreading the knowledge in such an easily consumable way.
Thank you very much for your astonishment and thoughtful comment, Wizard!!! You are welcome for the content. I absolutely cannot answer your question. But I can say that it is not just how low the likes are, but it is also that all this free content does not get many view counts. Maybe it is that my marketing is not good enough, or I am annoying to many people, or there is too much detail and description of the whys, or maybe it is that much of the world is a inattentive or, lazy. I have not solved the puzzle of how to get this free content out to more people. But I keep trying. Thank you very much for your attentive like click : )
Very nice with the new Array copying.... I followed your example and tried something else: Give names to rows and columns: Create from selection, so all the rows and columns have a name now (oh replace one total by TotalC or TotalR (row). The $ is also not accepted in names but that is OK. For the second logical test I wrote : =PayPal _0_to_49.99 (there is a space behind Paypal. If you plan to do this, I would recommend a bit "readable" column headers. greetings Bart
Is there a quick way that enables me to install a group of cells with equations inside that I want to fold them all at once, knowing that when I used the macro, it installed the cells and duplicated them every time
@ExcelIsFun Maybe add "exclusive OR" (I guess Excel calls it XOR) to the list? When I taught statistics (long before Excel) I used to find many examples and students were really interested in exclusive vs inclusive OR.
I've just realized, duh, if you use the entry method; Highlight , F2 , Ctrl Enter, when working with a table you don't have to do the awkward absolutimg ; Table1 [[Name]:[Name]] , you do if you drag the formula
Good fresher Mike, have a great Friday!

I have no idea at all. For VBA you can post to this great Excel question site (Mr Excel Message Board): mrexcel.com/board
The questions stay the same; the answers stay the same; but the route between--not so much!!
So TRUE, O Word Poet Richard!!!!!
