  • Been playing more star conquest :D. West of the Torus is where all the shooting happens.
All audio is coming from the Analog Four, recorded in one take and with no overdubs. I used the following plugins in post:
    MJUC (compressor and drive)
    Phoenix (preamp sim)
Maximus (Multiband expander I use as an EQ)
SlickEQ (equalizer for the highest highs)
    ToTape6 (tape sim)
Limiter6 (using the clipper and limiter modules)
    Thanks for watching!
The track uses pattern E09 on the project file available to patrons here: / 83551117

So much to like in this one... I'm especially fond of the soaring yet distant, almost tenuous, synth lead line that has some beautifully organic shimmering distortion...

Thanks a lot, man! I usually make one or two big performance macros for the lead, but here it sounded fine without any extra stuff :D

Your performances are always the best! Lot of practice went into these videos. Appreciate the content!

@IvarTryti yes, echoing others, tutorial breakdown, please! Now that I'm starting to get my head around my Analog Keys, I'm rediscovering your videos/music.Your artistically mastery is impressive, both in your tasteful, moody aesthetics; clever kit programming; and finally in live performance/manipulation. I'd love to learn more about your theoretical approach and practical techniques to integrating composition, sound design, arrangement, etc.
I hope to become a patron when I'm better positioned, so that I can get a more hands on look at your kits. But in the meantime, I'd love it if you can throw us some knowledge

    Great jam.
Do you maybe have video about mastering process that you apply on your jams(eq, compression etc)?
    Cheers

Excellent ! 😘 It would be difficult ( and uber expensive) to make those exact drums in Eurorack ,- Youre such a legit maestro on Elektron boxes !

Thank you very much! I've considered getting a tiny lunchbox with utility modules to use with my A4, but it's so expensive! There have been a few tiny but complete eurorack kits on the used market, but they do nothing on their own and still cost as much as a new Minibrute 2s.

Wow, what a great demo of the A4. Which of your albums has the most A4 usage?

Thank you! I think "Fun With Electronic Music Boxes" has some of my favorite A4 tracks. I'm especially proud of "Friendly Face in a Hostile Land", and "Tiny Fill Button" and "summoning demons" are close seconds :)

Thank you! I've considered getting it, but I can't justify buying it new, especially since I'm trying to keep my gear count low :D I may possibly sell something to make room for the HFX.

      Welcome, Maestro :)
Indeed the price is not for me either but considering selling my A4 and Rhythm. Looking forward to your application of it in time.

Hello I’m a big fan of your yt channel. Can you help me, how to copy an analog four pattern with all the parameters (tracks, pages, kit)? I’m new, thank you very much for your help!

    • @bentropy
      @bentropy Рік тому

Copy from one slot to another within the A4? Or copy between devices, eg to a computer? In either case, the patterns and kits are contained within "projects". These are stored, along with sounds, in the device's +Drive.
As for copying them off the device, onto a computer (or then to another device), Elektron stopped supporting their C6 app which facilitated sysex send/receive. On a Mac, the app most suggested is "SysEx Librarian", but I'm not having luck with it.
Maybe @IvarTryti can chime in with some guidance & advice.

patterns ("sheet music") and kits ("musical instruments") are decoupled on the big elektrons. You have to copy the pattern and kit separately.
