The song was written for Tom's Renegade album.in 2022 ! He asked John to sing the chorus for the video.
John and Tom have been friends for years. So its a collaboration that's been coming. Two different people same feelings and thoughts. Songs a warning. Fix it ,or lose it.
John Rich is from Big and Rich, a country duo and was in Lonestar. He is an award winning artist, and he hated the music industry so much that he dropped out and went solo. He began following Tom's songs and they became friends and Tom asked him to sing on this song. His addition to the song has pushed it into the stratosphere on the labels. It beat out all of the top ones for number 1 on the Billboard charts, over Taylor Swift and all the others.

Tom actually dropped 2 albums a few months back and this song was on one of the two albums. He was ahead of the game. First time seeing one of your reactions, you got a sub out of it. THanks!
This song is my first time hearing Tom Macdonald. John Rich is a huge country artist. Biggest hit I know of is "Save a horse ride a cowboy". This collaboration has doubled the exposure for both artists. These genres don't cross often and with this I hope people realize we all have more in common than we thought and it sparks conversation about the mess we are in.

John Rich was part of the country band Big & Rich. They were an award winning duo.
The reason John isn't really playing the song is because Tom recorded the song and then asked John if he wanted to sing the chorus. They had never met in person, not sure if they have yet?

You should check out Tom and John live stream . It was excellent and is a great introduction to John Rich and how Tom and him came to do the collab. It's am 1:15 long. It sounds like they're looking at doing more toghether.
