@@danmcm8082 That is terrible, the buses in Perth are clean on time and the government cares about them. Also every bus driver is friendly and nice to meet. Although they can be busy thats the only downside
@@liamgeorge7317 sadly the buses are nowhere as good in Melbourne as they are in Perth. Services are generally infrequent, indirect, co-ordinate poorly with trains, and don't run on time due to congestion and lack of on-road priority (we couldn't even get full-time bus lanes on Hoddle Street because NIMBY's kicked up a stink about losing parking). Most of the bus network hasn't had proper reform in years and there doesn't seem to be much political will to fix it. The buses themselves can also be quite dirty depending on the operator.
Most of the time they don't really care or they wave back at you. Sometimes they try telling you off for filming their bus, but it ain't illegal to film in a public place so there's nothing they can actually do about it.
ThebusofdoomFSX Oh nice! 👍 Haven’t seen the SL200s around . Those are vintage buses aren’t they? Also have you done a video of V/Line trains at Waurn Ponds? I recommend a video there. 😁
@@765bus6 The MAN SL200's were part of the government fleet introduced in the 1980's, then passed down to Melbourne Bus Link & National Bus Company after privatisation, then onto Transdev. The last was withdrawn in 2017. Daym I miss them, they sounded absolute beast with a nice loud engine and gearbox. They even gave me a headache a couple of times. I miss them.
What a beautiful area in Bulleen and North Balwyn there.
Sorry I didn’t watch on time. I had school, still nice vid!!
Those buses are mostly Man and Scania. Tbh, they are my fav buses.
How reliable is the PT bus service in Melbourne? I am from Perth btw and catch my local bus and train daily.

@@ThebusofdoomFSX thanks for letting me know
Does the bus driver mind you filming?

ThebusofdoomFSX yeah that’s true
Hey ThebusofdoomFSX! Nice video! What’s your favourite PTV bus? I like the Northcoast and CB60s because they have the same engine. (I think)
Thanks! My favourite buses are the Volvo B10M's and MAN SL200's.
Ventura's Northcoast and CB60's generally have the same chassis; a Scania L94UB
