Man this guy really knows what he’s doing. Mix savant. His sensitivity to the music is so inspiring. Thank you for taking the time to share.
So inspiring indeed. I got this EQ some time ago, and there's an indescribable intimacy in the darkness it adds to the sound. Even when striving for presence, air, and clarity, this darkness shines through. It seems contradictory when I try to explain it. Unique and beautiful.
@@davidefant3045 I definitely feel what you’re saying dude!!!
Wow! This completly changed my thinking on EQ because ALL he did was boosting also in situations where I normally would have resorted to reducing "overly pronounced" frequency areas he just complemented the picture of the instruments. Great talent & plugin!
I like how this guy mix.
MAJOR “Jaga Jazzist” vibes with the music, not sure if there is a connection there but loved the whole vibe. Great choice of music to demo the clarity of this plug-in by a masterful mixer!
Was thinking exactly the same thing! Major JJ fan here.
Miko is a great and musical engineer, but also a great dude, thanks for sharing your knowledge!!!
Lovely demonstration. Listening to him in itself was quite pleasing.
Whoa! This has got to be the most subtle and smooth EQs ever
Killer sound bro
very informative explanation! thank you Zino.
Testing this EQ and can’t wait for the flash sale to buy it.
Excellent video and explanation, however, 10:24-10:36 I'm wearing $7500 HiFiMan Susvara headphones, and I cannot hear a difference between on and byassed! Perhaps it's due to UA-cam quality.
Amazing EQ results nevertheless.
Good ears my dear. The response curve says exactly: There is nothing happening if no frequence is boosted or reduced ;-) So there is the MOST transparent transformer modeled which was ever built;-) Sometimes imagination tricks even the professionals!
ooh that low end thump
Beautiful EQ and a beautiful mix! 💯
Thank you!
Amazing EQ but the material is beautiful...
Beautiful song
I love this plugin. I've been using it for mastering, just for a little extra clarity and tightness. I've been using it along with the bx_masterdesk true peak.
We're glad to hear it's working so well for you. Thanks for the nice feedback!
please can I have a direct mentorship from you? I wouldn't mind to have private class.
Love Soma, but what is the name of this beautiful song??
We put it in the bio:
Song:
Written and produced by Johannes Römer/John Arman
Johannes Römer: keys, bass, recording
John Arman: guitar, bass
Clarinets by Christoph Pepe Auer
Drums and Drum recording by Alex Pohn
@@PluginAllianceTV Ah, so the song is titled Song, thanks 😀
@@AuralBee1 It is what it is.
This be the most transparent and discret eq ever. I can hardly hear anything. Just that it sounds better
That's great to hear. Thanks for the nice feedback!
I can't understand one thing. i listened to everything i could find mixed or mastered by Zino and everything sounds like Zino mikorey! does he bully producers and mixers to change mixes ? coz i'm sure this can't be done by just mastering.
it's because producers with similar style and taste come to him for his work with artist matching their profile.
Where can I listen to this gorgeous song?
I also want to!
Amazing
Thx but it would be more useful if we could hear the Q, the sweeps of the Eq and steps.
Great sounding plugin, but the interface just really doesn't work in a software environment. I understand the appeal of a skeuomorphic interface from a marketing standpoint, and I am not suggesting anyone do away with it - it looks beautiful - but I definitely think development should cover and the expected profit should more than justify developing an alternative interface design that is taylored to using a mouse (sliders instead of dials, displays instead of a ring of numbers around the knobs) instead of what the original was made for (fingers). You don't have muscle memory regarding the placement of certain parameters like you do with hardware.
Please don't take this the wrong way, but it is high time plugin developers think of this.
And I can think of no one better to lead the charge than Plugin Alliance.
I so totally agree. I think though the skeumorphic interface forces you to making decisions and trying them, then trying some difference - so I think you’re learning by making active decisions then changing them. With curves / sliders, it’s for sure a lot easier to home in on the sound you want, quickly, but maybe less of a build-up of learning (he quotes specific frequencies for various parts of the sound and I think that comes from long experience). I still agree with you though - I prefer the non-realistic-looking controls. As you imply, maybe have a choice of either in the one plug-in? That wouldn’t be difficult to implement since it’s only a control layer for the processing, surely?
Another empty GUI
