I breed Ayam Cemani and Indio gigante fowl. It’s my understanding that my Ayam Cemani ARE gamefowl, that’s why I watch you! I will say they are fairly aggressive, but it’s not consistent. Some of my boys are sweet as pie and some wanna kill me on a regular basis.
One of my roosters got out in the main pen. He hurt the dickens out of my toes with my Crocks on. I grabbed him, put him on his back, holding him down and told him right to his face, "I will eat you for Sunday dinner". We've been good ever since. 👍
Hey Justin! You might want to take a look at making some Rooster Tail Feather Plumes/Cockades & selling 'em for a hefty markup. It's an American military tradition that goes way back to at least Col. Thomas Sumpter, "The Carolina Gamecock", in the American Revolution, & maybe worn in hats before his time! (The, "Stuck a feather in his hat and called it macaroni", line from Yankee Doodle.) It lasted at least up to the Civil War... and maybe a bit after! I would imagine that they would be very popular with the Reenactment community nationwide! You already have the birds... and when they're done with 'em... instead of tossing them or selling them to fly fishermen... this might make a significant contribution to the bottom line!
@@SpiritoftheOutdoors I know that you've got a lot of irons in the fire; but there would not be a lot of time, effort, & material involved in making them... and the profit would be almost bordering on the obscene! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! (I remember the punchline from your Jerry Clower story, "He was a stranger, and I took him in!) Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!
@@SpiritoftheOutdoors One would do me just fine! How 'bout, "Mississippi Macaroni by Peden", as a Company name?! I know it's a goofy idea... but it just might be goofy enough to work!
sid Taylors are the most black game chicken that I know of but their heads aren't black like that little rooster. He is for sure a good looking little rooster
I wish you were closer I got some pure hopkins warhorse hens that are all black with mulberry colored head and comb. I'd give you one. If you find that hen put some fried meat grease on her head. She will be fine in a few days.
Would u be interested in sailing a buttermilk mule train grey or if u wanna trade i have nice birds..i got pure clarets, 3diff lines of hatch,i got some democrats and i got lacy roundheads and some sweaters yellow legged hatch
Let me see what i come up with by fall. I lost 2 greys to predators last month and still havnt caught the culprit. The kelso he got pup up a fight and wallered out a large patch of ground so it may have put a stop to it if he got some licks in. I think its a bobcat. Anyway i might sell some young birds i hatched
