4:40 Kendrick outpaced Drake's output? Wrong. They both had 3 songs up before the winner was decided.
Drake had Push ups and Taylor made out for 3 weeks. This was the only time the fans thought that Drake was winning, It was when Kendrick hadn't even responded yet.. let that sink in.. The fans had 3 weeks to let Drake's Pushups and Taylor made marinate in their brains. This should've been enough time for fans to choose their winners even If Kendrick hadn't responded during those 3 weeks.
Now when Kendrick dropped Euphoria, It set the standard for what a diss track should be and completely outdid Push ups and Taylor made combined in terms of lyricism and disrespect. At this point, the fans started siding with Kendrick. I remember this in real time..
Soon after Euphoria, Kendrick dropped 6:16 in LA. This wasn't much of a diss but more of a showcase of Kendrick's artistry. He was showing his ability to rap on old tracks while sending Drake his final warning shots. By this point, they both had the same output with 2 tracks each. Drake had Push ups and Taylor made, Kendrick had Euphoria and 616 in LA.
Now when Drake released family matters, Kendrick dropped meet the grahams right after which tied them up with 3 tracks each. People say that Kendrick didn't let Drake's song marinate. But that's not why meet the grahams beat family matters. Meet the grahams beat family matters because It was far more disrespectful as a diss track than Drake's. Drake had two tracks to let music marinate for 3 weeks and has a much larger fanbase, so why was It improper for Kendrick to drop on the same night for unbiased opinions? They both had the same amount of views. And isn't this how artists compare who outsells who when It comes down to Albums? Drop at the same time to see who really outsells who. In this case, Kendrick just had a better diss.
Then Like us was the kill shot. Drake responded a few days later with THE HEART PART 6 which ties them up again at 4 released diss tracks. Drake dropped the first full diss track so It was fair for him to get the last response. It was just a weak response. Plus I don't like the idea of almost crowning Drake to be the winner just because he has more stans, It should be about the bars. Not about when someone drops. You guys is only argument is saying that people's recency bias would've been the reason why Drake would've won the beef which is such a weird hill to die on. We should be judging the battle based on bars not recency bias or fan favorites. That's literally letting the brainless stans decide how the battle gets won.
And If you count up all of the minutes on both of their songs, they both equally had 20 minutes to rap. Drake just choose not to rap about nothing. If It didn't have so much filler dissing so many names and If It had more actual bars to dissect without a damn chorus. Perhaps It wouldn't been better for Drake but still would've lost regardless.
In the end, Drake's strongest point out of all of his 20 minutes was that Kendrick was a woman beater and that Dave free is the father of his son which are just rumors, everything Drake said is unproven. Meanwhile Drake is facing groomer/pedo accusations which is quite literally ruining his life right now. The battle was completely one sided.
Kendrick won all rounds 4-0.
Drake choose to rap about shoe size and unproven claims. Kendrick assassinated his character and now all the fans are doing is researching everything Drake has done. Kendrick doesn't even have to do anything anymore.
