Hey, why do you think One Piece cards are so expensive so fast? I’m a fan of a lot of TCGs and i dunno, i love One Piece but the art of their TCGs arent really that amazing. Would love to hear your thoughts.
I think the popularity of the show immediately created value for the game. But also the game is simple and fun for many which added lots of value to TCGPlayers. Add to that the short demand Bandai had at the earlier stages and it creates a perfect storm for creators, collectors, and scalpers (unfortunately)
For sure! I feel that the game went sort of mainstream and prices spiked. Bandai is creating more supply so more common cards shouldn’t be so expensive!
That luffy card at spot 3 is the regional WINNERS card in Asia, the Japanese version only has around 8 total in existence of them. The English version is not worth as much because it was a top 8 prize card not winners card so much more copies available. The Japanese version is one of the most expensive Japanese cards you can get. They sell for around just under $25k ungraded and you won’t find them for sale because so few of them.
Tbh like what you're doing here but so much of this is incorrect, Top 8 Zoro is 4k in a PSA 10 (raw and graded ranging from 3-5k max right now) some of those were very inflated prices when there wasn't many available for sale and isn't accurate with their true value. For the next time if you can look at various sites/listings and maybe do an average or more heavily focused on recent prices would be better.
Fair point and thanks for the feedback. I did mention on some of them for the date sold being a factor and so that’s why I decided to do more of a range than a set price for those. If you have some other site aside from EBay, Goldin, and TCGPlayer send them my way and I’ll make sure to research some more!
@@gear10th I think eBay prob has the most quantity, other than black labels. For big big ones like the Kaido those would be auction houses like Fanatics, Alt, etc. hopefully that info helps! Still great video
Fellas, what is your most expensive one piece card?
I have a ton of great cards, alt arts, etc. but only one Manga, it’s Sabo
@tedkrillies5326 same here!!! Sabo is my one and only manga
My fav and most expensive card is special boa hancock of op04

@@gear10th that really makes sense. I think you’ve captured it all. Thanks mate!
Damn , it pretty hard to get uncut pages like that.
100% I’m not skilled enough to win one 😔
@gear10th there's got to be other ways , how do one get uncut Pokemon cards ?
BL Kaido is off centre. No wonder BGS has made it harder to get a BL these days. Good video :)
Thank you!!
I saw that Kaido card price in eBay. I thought it was fake. The prices are crazy for just around 2 years old game.

That certainly is a shoulder

Thank you for the context! Very interesting to see how the supply of one card in the west I lot the same in the east formats
I bought 1 box and got Nico robin alt leader card 😅
Let’s go!!! Let’s hope that leader becomes popular
What is the website that you used? To look at market price history?
TCGPlayer !
Kaido last one $111,000 what the helllll 😵💫
Brain go BBRRRR with those prices lol
I have a op01 nami tempting to get it graded
One of the best one to grade for sure!
I have a few boxes and haven't opened them yet, i want to soo bad! Lol
I know the feeling! I have some for my collection. Sealed but the inner thoughts want me to open them 😂
i have the mihawk flagship error card and kaido flagshipcard
Amazing cards! Congrats!!
I feel like some of these cards are being sold by someone to someone that will not actually be purchasing, but to drive the prices up.
That’s a possibility for sure. I’ve heard of people who will buy out one specific card to then control that price. Insane moves
I have the oda signes card 😭🎉
The goat card!
