The opposition loves this hypocrite because he is shooting his Unity govt without them doing it. Instead of doing his part as a member of the govt to promote harmony, he is doing the opposite by always bashing up DAP, a Unity govt partner, at every chance he can grab. To him, promoting himself as a hero to his race is more important than promoting harmony. Harmony, which is important for the nation to progress can go to hell for all he cares. KK Mart is a retailer and how is Halal certification for retailers or guideline retailers need to adopt? Going forward, any retailer and or manufacturer handling, distributing and retailing halal products shall be vigilant to obtain and display the halal certificates of their suppliers and monitoring the certificate validity including scope of certification.

One thing both of you failed to understand is whatever words that associated with non-halal food, for sure cannot get Jakim's halal certificate. In this case Ham. Even if you put chicken/beef ham, or beef bacon, confirm will not be certified by Jakim. That's why the certified sellers put it as beef/chicken slice sandwich. The term beef ham/bacon are popularised by Hotels. Most of hotels in Malaysia are not certified Jakim's halal. But that doesn't mean they serve non-halal food to the masses only that it's very difficult to get certified. Hence why both of you feels it's OK and no fuss with the names.

"Ham" as a stand-alone word typically infers "pork" or "hog" in food description. However, there are alternatives to ham sourced from pork or hog, eg, chicken or beef. Then it should clearly say so on the label. Any local manufacturer or supplier in Malaysia should know that, and apply the description correctly according to the labeling framework provided by JAKIM when using JAKIM's logo.
Thank's Akmal for making HAM famous and now, many would want to put Ham into their menu and also advertisement of HAM. HAMburger or HAMpizza or HAMHAM Shop. How about no HAM instead of no pork or lard.
Correct me if im wrong, but i believe Jakim doesn't allow use of word Ham to get the certificate. Meaning that any food that want to get Halal certified cannot use the word Ham. They have to change to something else to avoid confusion. Hence this is clearly the issue of the supplier forging halal logo despite not being halal certified.
What about PizzaHut serving beef pepperoni and chicken pepperoni pizza...the Hindu leader must act like what Akmal did..on the Ham issue.😂😂...the word pepperoni and Ham usually dipicts beef and pork!!😂😂..but in PizzaHut...their chicken is also called pepperoni😂😂
As I feel this ham n cheese is so trivial. When one goes to any supermarkets, these cold meats are packed n sold everywhere. What i feel KK Mart should be more careful with their marketing esp in these over-sensitive markets.
Yes, it is very detrimental. That clown should be charged in court for causing disharmony. He is obviously trying to win support from his political party. No need to twist it adding chicken or beef to ham or bacon, unless u are purposely looking to disturb d peace. 100% Muslims in Malaysia know ham and bacon refer to babi. In malaysia, just don't use ham or bacon when referring to chicken, beef or other non-pork items.
MAHB issue is a divisive one. Why privatized and sell to foreign players a profitable and strategic monopoly? If it's a lack of capital, do a fund raising exercise w right issue or iculs. Lack of mgmt talent? Shake up the C-suites and get some professional directors to replace the political appointee (which is what Blackrock will do once they are on board)
These were not the reasons mentioned by EPF & Khazanah on the MAHB issue though. What was mentioned was that detaching MAHB from the gov provides a greater flexibility in facilitating & managing important decisions for the anticipated future development plans. They needed to ditch inefficient bureaucracies to turn MAHB around in the near future
If Ham is packaged as Halal product then why need to specify that it is chicken ham??? So funny!!! Please don't encourage this kinda nonsense to persist in Malaya, Dr Botak! Consumers need to read the ingredients when they buy and consume the product! That should be the right education and not getting everyone to write whether it is beef, chicken or pork ham! Ridiculous.
regarding the issue of 'Ham' and halal, before watch any video or ceramah understand the term and defination of 'Ham' and 'halal', the important of halal is not on the logo, halal logo banyak orang bole tipu just 'copy and paste', orang sebelah sana pon cakap pasal halal tapi.......,but yang penting sekali comply to the halal logo, so the key word understand the defination 1. Ham 2. halal kalu tak paham apa saja tibai
The whole issue is stupid and the manufacturers are idiots to try and sell a pork origin (like bacon, ham, etc) as islamically acceptable. What is wrong with Chicken/Turkey and Cheese (instead of Ham and Cheese) or Beef Streaks (instead of Beef Bacon) and discard the "halal" brand nonsense. This whole thing about trying to "Islamize" the pig is ludicrous. If a survey were to be taken, I have no doubt that Malaysian Malay Islamic fanatics will rather buy the real thing as opposed to eating religiously legalized pork.
Think better to say chicken ham or turkey ham.. As for the halal label, that's a mistake or misleading by the bakery. No where it says, halal suppliers means you can stick that label cos of that. They overdoing with they labelling
Menipu logo halal tetap salah.. penggunaan perkataan ham tu dah salah.. dalam islam ada ilmu feqah... Kalau tak tahu jangan bincang mcm tahu... Kau pun tak faham halal haram... Is "ham sandwich" is just a halal issue or Malaysia dated lenient food labeling issue ? A false labeling is also a cheat to ANY consumer, not just a halal label issue. Take "condensed milk" as example, it took Malaysia regulator to force the manufacturer to change the label to "condensed sweetener" , because it doesn't contains any milk nor nutrients that resemble animal milk. Just take OKM mentioned the variety of ingredient as example, the "crab meat" sandwich doesn't contains any crab, but a well known product called "Surimi". While food like "Mayonnaise", some manufacturer simply use little to no egg yolk to produce it, isn't it a cheat to consumer? In the pass 10 years, due to China food safety news, Malaysian to use to laugh at China food product as "fake", but how many people including public figure mentioned about food safety and labeling at home ?

We Malay Muslims WANT To trust the chinese busineses, we frequent many, but we ask you to comply with this request .. thats it. as a door for you to tap the malay muslim market .. that is too much?
I have worked on obtaining halal certification. The name of halal certified products cannot mislead customers. Therefore the word 'ham' itself is misleading. 'Chicken ham' would be more appropriate. The fraudulent halal cert explains it. KK mart hasn't learnt the lesson from previous socks case in screening their suppliers. Tsk tsk tsk
Once again, Ministry of National Unity has failed to show their worth this time around, again. As for KK mart, being a grocery chain focusing on affordable market, they simply cant afford to quality assure every single products from their suppliers, that increases time & manpower costing, not to mention the cost that comes with selection of more quality suppliers. Their missed opportunity last year on IPO was certainly a huge blow to their fund raising effort. Incident such as these will likely happen again in the future. One clear culprit deserving the blame in this case though , will be the supplier for this ham sandwich, Shake & Bake who is certainly at fault for using fake halal certification logo.
KK Mart is only a glorified basic sundary shop, hence why there are no standards in controlling their sell product. You won't see this at 7-11 or FamilyMart.

Akmal, the samseng
What will u feel when your signature was used to falsify a document
For a highly sensitive country like Malaysia, it’s understood that HAM is chicken. If HAM is an issue, just improve it!
Their members like to vote for leaders who are brave enough to shout, bang tables, lead a protest etc without thinking of their wise leadership qualities.
Why do some people ham up every thing?
Ask the Minister of education lah!!
Who want to go down his level to have conversarion with him?
Ham sandwiches & ham meat items are being sold in thousands of places! WHY this AkmalSyaitan only pick on KKMart? Porkfree food or halaled food hv NO RACIAL issue or religious issue but WHY DOES THIS AkmalSyaitan has special privilege to ignite racial & rights for choices of food for the different communities??? As adun, he ought to solve & resolve any problem that arises & definitely NOT to ignite & initiate problems!!!
You want to know why? Because his brain is still inside the mother’s 🌺. Not fully developed
Be educated on d local culture if u want to do biz in malaysia.
I mean...at least GIP has a track record in turning around major airports 😅
If Ham is packaged as Halal product then why need to specify that it is chicken ham??? So funny!!! Please don't encourage this kinda nonsense to persist in Malaya, Dr Botak! Consumers need to read the ingredients when they buy and consume the product! That should be the right education and not getting everyone to write whether it is beef, chicken or pork ham! Ridiculous.
There is an aspect not covered is the halal certification entails naming as well thx bye
❤
One thing for sure : this country ranks No.2 in most racism countries of the world .
regarding the issue of 'Ham' and halal, before watch any video or ceramah understand the term and defination of 'Ham' and 'halal', the important of halal is not on the logo, halal logo banyak orang bole tipu just 'copy and paste', orang sebelah sana pon cakap pasal halal tapi.......,but yang penting sekali comply to the halal logo,
so the key word understand the defination 1. Ham
2. halal
kalu tak paham apa saja tibai
University should give a proper guide line.................on what to sell
Subway used to sell Turkey Ham sandwich until it becomes too expensive. Boycott Subway?
Better prepare your courtcase wif teresa better n prepare money in case u lose..FYI rocket do not fight a loosing case..
Think better to say chicken ham or turkey ham.. As for the halal label, that's a mistake or misleading by the bakery. No where it says, halal suppliers means you can stick that label cos of that. They overdoing with they labelling
Overreading, oversensitive and toxic disruptive behaviour to their own detriment. A nation HAMSTRUNG on zealotry.
The Malays do not bother about beef being served to Nons
Police need to act swiftly on paint and fire vandalism. Not sure Kuching and Pahang incidents were caught.

Menipu logo halal tetap salah.. penggunaan perkataan ham tu dah salah.. dalam islam ada ilmu feqah... Kalau tak tahu jangan bincang mcm tahu... Kau pun tak faham halal haram... Tak pandai gi jumpa mufti .. jangan cakap banyak nak tunjuk pandai... Tak ada logo halal belum tentu haram tapi kami merujuk ulama.. idu syubhah was was...
This is what race card politics 101 is ! And they are not our original malay. But all were hook , line and sinker with religion for that propaganda. Find out who and what malay was.
Ask urself… do you eat fr shops/sellers that has no Jakim logo before ? If you have then don’t insist others must have a logo in their business
KK mart .. jagan jual makanan siap sedia in semua uiniversiti.. kolej..tempat sensitif.....Jual maggie saja cam Super 99......... 711... (maggie yg hala dan air panas pun tak diiktiraf)......... prevention is better than cure
1. Akmal is just playing his role .. the voice of the Far Right that have been silenced, but needs to be heard to balance the equation. Its us outside of the political circle that needs to understand that, and let him be.
2. The issue of the Forgery of Halal Certification is the BIGGER concern than anything else in the minds of an ordinary Malay. How do i trust any shop that i frequent to? who else is effing around with the Halal Logo just to sell but not certified? We Malay Muslims WANT To trust the chinese busineses, we frequent many, but we ask you to comply with this request .. thats it. as a door for you to tap the malay muslim market .. that is too much?
I have worked on obtaining halal certification. The name of halal certified products cannot mislead customers. Therefore the word 'ham' itself is misleading. 'Chicken ham' would be more appropriate. The fraudulent halal cert explains it. KK mart hasn't learnt the lesson from previous socks case in screening their suppliers. Tsk tsk tsk

Suggest KK Mart refain from selling finished prepared food........... let the cafe... coffee shop .. canteen to cater this line of products..
Sometimes it comes from foreign countries with the halal logo.
To make it worst. I kid you not that the Malay restaurant didn’t know that hindu don’t eat daging Lembu…
Nak Marah siapa?
PETRONAS exploration should not operate by State company with duplicate on upstream investments in that venture and is a threat in Peronas ROE.
don't waste time on this irrelevant guy
I think its time KK mart bare responsibility . As a retailer you are the one that's responsible for what you put on the shelf.
KK Mart is only a glorified basic sundary shop, hence why there are no standards in controlling their sell product. You won't see this at 7-11 or FamilyMart.
Halal tidak semestinya bersih. Bersih tidak semestinya halal.
Wander the road side n.lemak store selling do they got halal cert🤔
Pisang ah gerai2 tepi jalan semua nak mohon logo halal bhahahahh bhahahahh bhahahahh
only those insecure would forever felt challenged
