You want tidal waves, try being out in the water, when a earthquake hits out in the water. Sept 4th 1981 I was swimming in H.B. with a friend and her dad. A 5.5 earthquake hit Santa Barbara Island. And 30 ft waves were rolling towards us beautifully. I remember looking to the left and then to the right, down the beach and this was one HUGE solid wave that was miles long. I remember thinking WTF? This wave was bigger than my two story house. After we managed to go under this massive wave, and then seeing another one of its size coming at us fast. The water was so deep we couldn't even touch the ground. And there was no way we had any time to get out of the ocean, because waves of that size breaking and the white wash would have killed us easily. We took on 10 massive waves before the waves started giving us sometime in between each wave, so we could get out. I will never forget that morning back in 81. I'm just thankful we all survived to live through something as intense as that all was. That definitely was a surfers dream.

Tsunamis have nothing to do with weather
Was that the tsunami or was that before the tsunami? Was it a very small one?
구경하면서 웃는 사람들이 한심하군
큰 일이나야 정신차리지
A zillion years ago.. maybe 1959-1962..my family went down to the area just south of Pigeon Point: there was supposed to be a very good low tide
For fishing off the rocks... we all could not understand the huge huge low tide!!! And a pretty flat ocean. For a very long while.
Got back to the City about 4 pm & heard on the radio in the truck- there was a Tsunami Warning that day for California coast!!!!
So this gives a prelude of what some people will do when that CascDia fault gives way. lol
Yep. I went to higher ground instead.
This does not bode well for a lot of people when the next big tsunami hits. So all the water runs out of the bay, you're looking at bare beach for a mile or so. Gee what could happen next???
Surfers. 🙏
Beautiful rollers
Hope they don't get slammed against the rocks!
Another thing is if they suddenly needed to swim that bubbly whitewater gives almost no traction.
Great footage!
I was kinda hoping the tsunami waves would start taking people see if they'd continue to laugh as they're being dragged away😁
Is that Tsunami? It looks like just a big wave.
If u had a submarine near. Volcano. U could b riding a swell 500 miles an hour!
Really, are there 2 persons in the water
I *surely* hope that NO ONE risks their life to "rescue" a thrill seeker that is, or was looking to ride the big one.
However, thats their choice on either side.
*YAH* is nearing home plate.
Is it Mavericks out there??
The LORD is clearly warning us that very soon He will come to take the holy church.
Hail Satan!
Did they survive?
People can be really careless an ignorant with their lives until they are swept away an die.
No laughing matter.
What drone is that? Nice quality.
2:12 is scary and definitely looks like a tsunami
Hi there Erik Good footage. From Shirley in Oregon
Surely you do not think he will reply? “He will reply, and quit calling me Surely”..
