TMM speaking german with italian accent and spanish words.
MR W O R L D W I D E
Reviewing a brazilian character
In a Japanese game
ᵇᵒⁿᵍⁱᵒʳⁿᵒ, ᵃᵐⁱᵍᵒˢ!!!
While having a mostly American audience
My brain was scrambled when said he was speaking German 🤔
I remember how popular Eddy was in my neck of the woods back when Tekken 3 was out, every friend of mine played him, hell, me and a couple of my friends went to learn capoeira because of him, say what you want about Eddy, but he certainly was a brilliant addition to Tekken and to this day, an iconic design, one of the most recognizable ones in Tekken.
It’s a shame that the same can’t really be said with some of the newcomers we’ve been getting.
I agree, first time I saw Eddy I thought "damn, psx is the ultimate machine if we can play a character like him"
@@Cr1ms0nRav3n speaking of which, look at josie
@@bluefalcon6356 I heard originally that she was going to fight with Eskrima fighting style and potentially use Kali sticks. That would’ve made her far more memorable and tolerable (cuz her personality is annoying) as a new character and brought something new to the table the same way Eddy did back in T3. But instead they just gender swapped Bruce essentially. What a cop out.
One of the most nerfed too. T7 Eddy isn't the REAL Eddy.
Every pro player is gangsta until their parents pick up a controller and choose Eddy.
I didnt understand?
So true lol
Fr- For Real
My dad whipped my ass with Eddy in T3 holding the controller upside down.
I’ve never related to anything more in my life
Back when stages were character related
Eddy was popular because his animations were stupidly amazing for the time. He also has a really cool design.

Mainman: no kazuya
Captions: no calcium
Eddy made a huge impact with his introduction. Even non-Tekken fans will easily recognize this guy.
I'm looking forward to seeing this video form El Hombre Principale.
*Intro* Me: Why’s he speaking Spanish and Italian?? MMS “ Gotta stop with the German? “ What?!?
I went to Comment section right after he said that xD
"bonjour"
Yoo me too ahahah
I was like "whats going on inside his head"
Zabor lol me too
I think Eddy was also popular because he was in the tekken 3 demo in the demo collection with the ps1
Eddy vs Xiaoyu for days!
@@raginbull13 and it doesn't even made me bored, I could play Xiaoyu vs my dad with Eddy for ages.
Getting full version after a year, damn, there was so much things to discover
Eddy was popular in arcades, before the demo. People just hit buttons and he did things.
My first ever player Tekken (and fighting game) character. I have family who don't even play games anymore and still talk about how amazing Eddy's moves were back in the days.
5:06 And this has to be the most iconic Eddy move ever
6:36 - The reason it's so "inconsistent" is because Eddy (the opponent) is moving ALL OVER THE PLACE. Not only did he track you through sidesteps (so doing side throws on Eddy is pretty much impossible), but his idle stance has him moving forwards and backwards which meant there was always a random chance he'd just simply move out of the way of whatever the opponent was throwing at him. Kicks, punches and especially throws would fail to connect on Eddy where they'd land squarely on pretty much any other character. I can understand finding his moveset frustrating to play against, but his neutral dance dodging was the one thing that always made him downright infuriating to me. You see it at 6:47 as well - the opposing Eddy is tracking you as you attempt to sidestep, the kick, which would normally be a guaranteed launcher, misses its secondary high hit, and the throw is exceedingly difficult to land, not because of any mistake on your part, but because of his crouched idle stance and random movements back and forth.
This stage and this character was the very first look at tekken i had on a demo disc for playstation. The nostalgia is real. Closest arcade cabinet to me was an hour away in literally middle of no where backwater canada next to a lake
Tekken 3 Eddy theme is Godlike. Songs been stuck in my head for over 20 years
Woow I am impressed with how easy it is for you to pronounce words in Brazilian Portuguese, it is rare to see someone outside speaking so correctly. (Obviously, brazilian here)
Man Eddy was one Hell of an Impactful character.
I have gotten better at beating him now. I hope he never leaves!
#Eddy #GOODASSTEKKEN
#buff Eddy
who u main cuz
@@urmama54 in T7.
Geese is my main.
Gigas.
Kazumi.
Kazuya are my secondarys
@@Jabermania he definitely needs buffs
@@KaoMinerva I just can't believe they gave him this stupid new move
1:32
You were right but it was whatculture gaming not Watchmojo
I'm still hoping we get a coverage of tekken 3 or tag 1 Yoshimitsu.
Lol his fighting pose automatically side step. Aaah the good old days!
Ngl, I love Eddy BUT I always thought it'd been much cooler if they had added a BJJ grappling-based character inspired by Royce Gracie. Still, super cool, and his Tekken 3 theme is one of the best.
Eddy was my main then, and still is to this day!
yup i remembered this when i was kid...where my friends are playing tekken 3 where P1 and P2 controller is on rotation who ever losses change player and everyone plays eddy even me just to keep the controller on your hands...haha just button smashing x + o and you win... because we dont know combos or aerial combos way back then hahahaa..
Ah yeah, Eddy freaking Gordo! D:
His damage was insane on T3, I found Eddy, Hworang and Jin so cool on T3 since it was the first Tekken I ever played. :o
" 20 sweaty nerdy guys ANd me taking turns playing this game, winner stays " LOL those controllers were probably disgusting. :)
Eddy Gordo use to be unstoppable, now he gets swept.
Naw it was just blatant Ignorance for most
Come play me u see he isn't.
@@TheSidekickking R1CHB1T3H5150- ( Send at your own risk )
Eddy used to have a sidestep "stance" in 1+2 named "Rewinder."
Nice to see you've gotten better!
In this game I relied heavily on the front handspring. Long range with easy transition to handstand or relaxer.
Eddy was pretty popular among me and my friends too when any of us would play together for 3 and tag one of us could just pick him and spam buttons without knowing what we were doing even though many of us understood the basics and even non basic stuff but just not it normal terms of today or only somewhat in some situations like frame s.
What’s annoying about eddy is he just negates all of your pressure with relaxed. I don’t care what people say he’s still a very strong character in T7
He negates alot of punishment due to weird recovery too.
Very annoying match up
His afro alt costume was so good.
@4:22 when you’re playing Eddy but you want to wavu wavu.
Eddy once you lab his frames, hes pretty fair to fight against. I mean he's doing what Capoeira does and that's to confuse you into false state of security. My cousin played him and I definitely appreciated the matchup seeing as I had trouble reading him initially.
Tekken 3/TTT Jin VS Tekken 3 Eddie was a CLUTCH Match at my local Store Back in the day. .
Jin U/f 4444 VS Eddie 34/43 Spam..
IT was glorious! 😆
I will always hate fighting Eddy CPU and even online and as a honorable man I never pick him...but whenever my new friends get into the game I tell them to pick eddy and push kick buttons in different directions and they slam me. And I’m glad because he is a genius character for casuals who just wanna mash and have fun with buddies on the couch not Korean backdash across the screen and punish.
So even tho I hate fighting him I never wanna see him go. He a goat for all the new fighting gamers who picked up tekken and fell in love.
hey tmm please do more tekken 3 revisited :) cheers
6:37
Yo, sweet moves!
Everybody’s main in t3
My god. The stages look smexy
The reason i played tekken, king’s grabs and it was hell fun.
Pro players today: Have great skill, Train 24 hours a days, learn from defeat.
Pro players back then: *pick Eddy and smash controller on the floor or anywhere else really*
Ah yes, when the nightmare began.😂
*ZOOM ZOOM CAPOEIRA*
Now I'm seasick
The intro he was like
🇫🇷🇪🇸🇮🇹
i like how he's in such pain when he gets hit.
It's because he's not used to getting hit. His idle stance makes him dodge attacks at random as we see at multiple points in the video, he's also exceedingly hard to land throws on, and he tracks his opponent through sidesteps meaning it's almost impossible to get into position for a side throw outside of sidestepping at exactly the right timing while he's standing up.
the ground frames on his ch b+4 used to be rather good. The stun was long enough to get a full d/f3+4 even if you couldn't actually follow it up with much of anything in this game.
Mi first memories of tekken are me and my cousin playing tekken 5 i think. My cousin was beating me all the time with king's throws because he was the kid with the game between my friend group. My first victory against him was spammimg eith Eddy because no one told me how to play. When i discovered the 2 palm stance i evaded all kings throws and for that moment i thought he was the most overpowered thing in the world
How do they (ducky and tmm) do online match in local mode in every previous tekken game?
Can you do a video on Tekken 3 Hwoarang?
Ahhh, b3 infinite loop
I love how eddy represents my country, love u mainman, big fan
TK3 Eddy will forever be my favorite. 💛💚
Holy shit that deadpan "stop with the german"
Now thinking, this stage's song reaaaally sounds like the character select screen of dbz budokai 3..
I HOPE YOU ARE ALSO DOING AWESOME MAINMAN!!! 🥊💀❤️
Iconic. For a black kid growing up in Poland, this character was a godsend. I wouldn't pick anyone but him. Not because I wanted to play him (that would be Bryan), but because he looked like me. Finally, someone who looked like me. It was because of Eddy I wanted to learn capoeira (I didn't, it's not for me at all, as it turns out), and have dreadlocks. The impact of this character cannot be understated. Not only competitvely, but also culturally.
And when it comes to mashing 3 and 4 - people still do that. My cousin to this day just picks Eddy and mashes those two buttons, nothing more. And it's still surprisingly effective.
I hope they remake tekken 3 this was my favorite tekken off all time
The Main Man came to Brazil!
No I dont wana go to brazil
Also the camera constantly tilting because of Eddy's idle animation is pretty annoying. I think it does the same thing with Law as well. Was it because of a design limitation or did someone at Namco think it looked cool?
I am missing eddy's snake voices in this game
6:21 ah, Lucky Chloe has roots all the way to 1998 i see
I remember being 6 in 00/01' and I only chose Eddy! Spammed 3+4 all day! And be became my main till this day.
How people read: TheMainMan
How I read: 0:03
So true
Zoom zoom capoeira
Zum, zum, zum capoeira!
Tekken 3 était vraiment révolutionnaire
There’s a reason it’s consider the god of all fighting games
This game feels more 3d than tekken 7
Funny thing is most of the time growing up, you got blown up by like 5% of Eddie’s actual tech.
Coming from SF, my brother beat my ass 50 times in a row (true story with Yun) until I learned how to properly block so Eddie wasn’t an awful time for me when I first picked up Tekken (ARMOR KING ARMY!)
Dose anyone think people would buy eddy if he was DLC for Tekken 8?
Jajaja qué gracioso, soy mexicano pero entendí lo que dijo al principio
But who was worse for mash kicks - Eddy, Hwoarang -or Katarina- ?
Katarina
eddy
T4 Bryan next, And don't forget to search Eddy Gordo on google guys
Mainman, I think if you put your palm to your face, you could grip your skull with your fingers. Like the thing in Alien.
Your hands and fingers are that big. For reals.
He suffers the same as leroy, his issue was being too cool for us but so easy to play with.
NOOOOO I DONT WANNA GO TO BRAZIL!!!
Mens uploaded 4 vids already 😂😂😂
IDK I never had problem in T3 with Eddy , Fucking Ogre n Dr. B on the other hand
22 years of salt sounds like some Naruto shit
Mmswe: Why is he speaking spanish and italian? Maybe German?
Me: I was also confused by Eddy's origins back when I first played Tekken 3. I was in elementary school at the time and I never payed attention to anything and world history wasn't important at that time. That's why I thought Brazil was in Africa until I got older. I didn't even know slavery was a thing in other countries until I got older. Now it's easy to learn about things like Capoira thanks to the internet. Amazing how so much could change in 22 years.
I learned the Eddy matchup back when I was like 12. Due to my oldest cousin always using Eddy and beating me. Now it's the opposite
Who do you main?
@@kwaku7226 you mean in T7 or in Tekken 3? I have always used ever character and tried to learn them all.
Rey Rico Tekken 3, and who’s your main Tekken 7?
Not Maestro, Mestre
Easy solid combo is Launcher - df 11 SS 43 😂
That swedish intro sounds good.
8:30 WHAT !!
If I'm not mistaken, Black Widow uses that move in the Avengers movies.
@@pvshka isn't TEKKEN 7 SSMM much better
Wait this is new???
TT2 Chreddy were Op tho
I was gonna get pissed for the spanish with italian accent for a brazilian character, but I'm dumb and it was german so it's alright.
he was popular because u could literally button mash, do cool moves, and actually win
He was so easily punishable 😂🤣 especially in Pal version. Jin , Bryan , Lei and Law just destroyed him. Only brocken characters were ogres
Jin was even more broken than ogre
3:46 thats what she said
XOXOXXOXOOXXXOOXXO you win!
Can Christie do the handstand walk?
no
People outside love eddy how dare you to talk like that to our boy mainman
Unga bunga zoom zoom capoeira~
My first playstation game and main... Dropped him due to the hate lel
My old bro use to play edge and Christy, and just throw shit at you. That was fun 🙁
Nerff fahkumram rangeeeee
