Me too. im so bummed over the Spire not being built. it still makes me cringe. And the new ones being built there was lowered from 1000ft to 800+. Its fustrating. Im always checking and see NY building taller. Then Oklahoma...What stresses me out is if the Tribune East Tower will ever get built!

@drewtommybenzo Hopefully you're talking about the two buildings where the Chicago Spire were suppossed to have been built but the Tribune Tower makes excellent sense to surpass the Sears tower because so many buildings have surpassed the Sears Tower and it's time for Americans to build Bigger and Taller again and the Sears Tower already had her day in court and held the record as the tallest building in the world for many Years ! Lincoln Yards is never going to happen. I've been watching it since the project began and I handle a lot of Sterling Bay's paperwork. Its an empty lot and has been since even before the pandemic. I'm sure it's a money laundering scheme akin to the Port Covington project that was announced in Baltimore back in 2016. That project was to be a massive separate downtown area and consumed much needed tax payer dollars to deliver little to nothing as of now. Sterling Bay owns so much of the West Loop but their buildings always seem devoid of life and I both wonder AND know why.
Most of these projects will never be built....as it is the Lincoln Yards project is completely stalled, the demolition of the existing structures that need to be removed to start building was completed OVER 4 years ago...Chicago is a dying metropolis...it won't be as bad as Detroit, it'll look more like a Lansing Michigan....
My hometown Chicago is the best city in the world ❤❤❤❤❤ and its called sears tower
They should use some of that money for more security
Still sad the spire never made it.

Beautiful but what are they going to do on the south side. Lake Shore Dr Ext is completely empty

If they just did new futuristic waterport cars for people to use would be a dope addition to the city!!!
Green roofs seem to be the answer to all our ills. Sounds like the business to be in.
I'd rather have these damn roads fixed
Casey casement ai I love it
Ironically, the only project I think has an actual chance of being realized isn’t even mentioned in this video. It’s the United Center regeneration
Just for the ultra rich as usual
Was thinking the same thing. Too bad for us working stiffs.
You say 1422 ft but sears tower is 1451 and that not with the antenna that reach 1729ft. So that will be the 2nd biggest building
Is Chicago getting rid off all of it's industry like San Francisco did to just become a city for the rich?
Is NYC doing same?
No there's a lot of industry in the city. It's just not talked about because it is industry and nobody's really intrigued by that

DPI not getting built.
Tribune East not getting built.
Neither is the other one.
That’s because our city is screwed with this current mayor. He’s a joke.

Chicago's economy is still very strong. It has one of the strongest economies in the world in terms of gdp. It's in the top 10
I think the Tribune East tower is too tall for it's surroundings.
