Love that you put in the same effort into a 10 y/o daily driver as you do your own vehicle!
How’s the DJI Osmo working out?
Thanks ! I love the Osmo Pocket. I still can’t get over how compact it is. Very good picture quality for its size and it’s just so practical.
Car turned out amazing! How would you compare Autowash products to others like Chemical Guys or Adams?
Check out the brand review he just posted, he goes through all of our products. We have worked hard to get you guys the best possible products, we believe they are as good as or better than anything else on the market, including Adams and CG!
Thanks for watching!
They’re as good or better depending on which specific product. I really enjoyed the ease of use of the lineup and the colour coding!
Amazing what a difference claying the paint makes! I‘m now considering to clay my own car on the next wash too
Thanks!
Was I the only person who thought that the car was perfectly okay in the beginning itself?
It was lol but not by his magnanimous standards
I watch lots of videos and most of them are selling products or doing crazy paint correction or a disgusting interior makeover. Its great to see someone putting pride in their work to benefit a regular consumer using simple products.. I found that Turtle Wax Ice spray wax wiped on clean paint is an amazing product used monthly after a routine wash, its also inexpensive and looks great.
I think it looks great, reflective and sparkly! 💥
Lol
That's what my wife always say.... until I applied a touch of love to her car.
Good too see and great video, sick of seeing so many “car washers” on other channels, detailing brand new cars which need little too no paint correction, and minimal effort!
Thanks! Of course the majority of my customer basis after 21 years of detailing is the higher end new cars that want to have the total package done, but I agree that it’s also nice to see what can be done to clean, restore and protect older neglected daily drivers! 👍🏻
There's something pretty satisfying about breathing some life into a neglected paint job. The truck I most recently bought was very neglected and had no paint protection on it at all (like this car) and the dealer did nothing to prep it for the sale. An afternoon's work to wash it, decontaminate it, and throw on a coat of Beadmaker alone was enough to make it look fantastic again.
Thanks for watching!
Great work as always!👌🏻 VERY therapeutic!😍 I’ve missed these kind of videos! Keep them coming!😎👍🏻
Thanks for the positive feedback!
Yes, it's always more therapeutic watching someone else put in the effort, LOL.
Great job, I love that place where you live, my dream is, that one day I will buy a house there and wash/detail cars like you. I suggest to present engine washes too. :)
Pan lives in Canada! why would u want to live in a cold climate? Mild weather in California. Great for maintaining a car paint.

Yuck, besides the weather, California can get lost. Midwest is where its at!
Considering the challenge of working on a low quality older car like that Kia, you produced incredibly impressive results. Imagine how a fine quality automobile would look after your detailing!

Thanks Pan for another great video!! Interesting to see how the beading/shedding is improved by just by the wash and the 2 decontamination steps as the clear coat can "express" itself again
Thanks Benjamin!
Impressive workmanship. 1) cleaned wiper blades 2) cleaned the grill 3) cleaned the lug nuts 4) cleaned behind the rear license plate. All four of which I skip when detailing my car.

I wish there was an essentials kit for those of us who love to detail our personal cars just like you. I tried going through all your videos and finding the most common detailing tools and materials but I never feel like I'm getting the essentials for every step, from which microfibers, power washer attachments, shampoos and cleaners and then finally coatings.
I think I’ll make a video on that topic! 👍🏻

Hi Pan I've been a big fan of yours for the last few years Personally I think your the most knowledgeable through detail instructor on youtube. If I may suggest......during the wash process using a microfiber mitt continue to turn the mitt and often dipping it in the wash bucket to clean dirt particles out of the mitt that was picked up from the previously washed area......also the dirt in the mitt will cause a sandpaper effect leaving small scratches in the paint surface... I own a couple of conveyor car washes in NYC which I know you DO NOT recommend to car enthusiast.....Never the less I will continue to watch your videos and look forward to your comment and future videos.
Thank you Vinny Orlando Soft Touch Car Wash Inc. Brooklyn NY
Thanks Vincent. However, I'm not quite sure I understand your question, as I didn't see a ? anywhere.
Pan TheOrganizer While washing the cars surface........turn the microfiber wash
Mitt over and dunk it in the pan of soap to remove dirt particles picked up Tks Vinny
This was really helpful for me, thank you. This is the kind of good, solid wash and detail that I do, and I think most ordinary people do. It's nice to see a step-by-step process on an older car, so I can be sure I'm doing it correctly.
Thanks Paul!

Pan, why you are not washing a car with Optimum's technology? ONR and The Big Red Sponge?
Onr is for maintenance washes
Kelly Mcculloch There was a video, how he showed, he washed a car with all Optimum products(Wash, clay, decon)
Those are some very beautiful scratch free rims for a 10 year old car!!!
Title says neglected 10 year old car but I don't see the paint chipped off the roof and what 10 year old owns a car?
This car wasn't neglected, maybe never professionally detailed.😉
Neglected doesn’t necessarily mean damaged. The owner never hand washed the car, took it to the carwash maybe once yearly, and never had it detailed in ten years. To me, that’s neglected when one doesn’t put the efforts to wash and protect their car.
@@PanTheOrganizer yeah I know Mr. Pan I was joking because I see a lot of cars less then 5 years that have sun damage out the wazoo on the roof and hood
Yes that is true! I don’t know what some people do to their cars sometimes lol
@@PanTheOrganizer I know right it's insane lol

@@PanTheOrganizer It was recommended to me by youtube. I guess because I was browsing for tips on cleaning the car.
Neglected, maybe. But look at those headlights. Crystal clear. For a 10 year old vehicle, it's at least garaged and not too exposed to the elements
And no visible stone chips on the hood? My 9 and 11 year old daily driver are peppered with stone chips and have oxidated headlights, and they are both garage kept.
Nice job but I would not have excepted any thing less from you. I would have liked to see if you would have been able to just use an air blower to remove the water after the hydrophilic test.

Pan, in regards to the trim around the car... Why not just use a hairdryer or heat gun on the trim to bring back out the oils, to where the trim will remain black a lot longer when you apply the trim dressing afterwards?
I prefer to restore faded trim with Solution Finish. For trim in good shape, I use CarPro PERL diluted 1:3 for exterior use.
@@PanTheOrganizer Yes, I understand that. Was just wondering though why not use heat to bring the natural oil back out of the trim first, though? This way the trim doesn't fade back to grey after a couple of washes. Just an observation is all. No big deal

Thanks Richard! Enjoy your weekend!
Shame we didn't get to see the hydrophobic properties of the screen product but apart from that it was a great video!
Thanks David!
Everything you did you did great. But you left out too major parts to a very good cleaning. The wheel wells need a good scrubbing. Also, when you open the doors, gas door and hatch. All the jambs will be covered in dirt. Gotta clean them out including in your wash (prep) process.
How do you tell that the paint is oxidized or contaminated with industrial fallout?
Pan, during the Iron Removal process, I never see you agitate the vehicle--only spray off. Why? Can you scratch or harm the paint if you agitate the Iron Removal product? Can you agitate the wheel if using an Iron Removal product?
Also, why not use a pump-sprayer for the Iron Removal product? Would that be excessive?
Yes you can use your microfiber towel to agitate the iron remover on the paint, no harm can be done. That would be for more heavily contaminated cars. As I work on new cars, agitation isn’t needed.
Great video, but I'm curious about why you didn't include a compounding or polishing step, even though you note that the paint on the car is oxidized (not really visible on the video on my screen.) Last autumn, I did my first detailing on a 17-year old Honda: wash, clay, Meguiar's compounding polish, liquid wax, all Meguiar's prods. I was amazed at the results. The compound/polish step was a problem due to the cold weather, but once I got the knack, it further improved the gloss and smoothness, as well as hid some minor scratches.
Did the chemicals you used on the Kia take the place of compounding/polishing or did you just decide that this car didn't need it? Your results are super.
Thanks for watching Orrie. The reason I didn't include paint polishing steps was because of time constraints. I had a very limited window of time to surprise my friend with this detail job. Keep in mind this was a surprise for a neglected vehicle. This is not a paint polishing tutorial, I have other videos for that on my channel. So this was beyond the point of the video which was simply to show viewers what can be done to greatly improve the appearance of a neglected older daily driven car with easy to use products that give good results.
I hope you understand my point of view.
Which sealant did you used? Didnt see in the list
It was the Autowash Stamina silica spray sealant. Check the Autowash link (first link).
Full brand review of their lineup of products coming tomorrow. Stay tuned!
PS Just to confirm that the products listed were actually those used? I saw a number of Autowash branded products I thought.
Yes the majority of the products used for this detailing job were Autowash products that I was testing. Full brand review of the lineup in tomorrow’s new video. Stay tuned!
That video make me sad :/ mine is even older ...almoust double 😕 so is there any chanse to do more damage on my old paint if i put ironr emover and kleybar it?
There is no damage that the iron removers or claybars will do. On the contrary, they will help to remove contamination from your paintwork.
Hello Pan! I have a question: if I decide to do some paint correction, where should I place the procedure so I can get the best results? I'm thinking after the cleaning and decontamination procedure is being preformed correct? Help please and thanks for your videos, they are very instructive and informative
Pan, can you add the link to the ceramic spray you applied? Also, the bucket add on for your wash mit!
The link is already in the description. It's the link towards the Autowash products. Once you're there, it's the Stamina ceramic spray. :)
Thank you pan!
You're welcome!
As usual, nice video. Why did you not use foam to do the actual wash as you did in the pre-wash?
Thanks. I work that way. Pre-wash, rinse to remove as much loose dirt as possible, wash, rinse.
You are the best!
Thanks Erwin!
What’s your favourite video on my channel so far?
@@PanTheOrganizer Not sure, just know because of you, I have spent a bunch of money on car stuff and planning to buy the kranzle pressure washer. I like watching you, Dallas, and Larry.
Nice job!!😎👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!
