I felt so original doing this exact thing with my kids as helpers. I used jig trailers and chopped up some Z man plastics cause in my opinion they got the best plastic in the biz
Im actually planning on doing just this either tonight or tomorrow. If you dont mind me asking, how did you thread the skirt material through the elaztech?
Awesome idea!! Steve Rogers did a video on one but was a wacky rig style. Like the Ned Rig idea as well. They both look like they should catch fish!! Stay Safe & God Bless!!!
I fish a relatively cheap floating silicone jig with silicone “legs” from a Japanese company and it slays everything that swims, it’s such a unique presentation and it’s got some weight so it casts. On streams especially it’s nice because you don’t lose 3 million of them like a Ned. I loved this video and it’s uniqueness and creativity- one thing, have you thought about throwing a couple pieces of Maribou on there for antenna or whatever? May add another element of movement to the silicone
hey alex love your videos man! i just recently got into tournament fishing in east Tn myself at watts bar lake, any tips for fall fishing? What time of year would you throw spinner baits for those big bass under logs and heavy cover areas?

I’m having a Hellgy of a time finding yum Hellgrimites around here.. so I may need to get some molds. Those look awesome!
The wife will be pissed if she catches me rummaging through her craft box hahaha
Just blame me lol
I love the idea with the ned rig. I bet it'll drive the bass insane!
Like this bait experiment in the lab. Pretty confident you'll put some fish in the boat giving them a different look.
I'm in trouble now. I need to do this in the winter, so when it warms up I could put these puppies to work!
Nice touch with the sewing needle . I tried a few half senkos with deer tail and some with senkos with feathers
That sounds interesting with the feathers and hair!

The purple color reminded me of some of the 70's colors.
That ned rig looks sick wish I had it
Give Christmas tree tinsel a try. I’m curious to see what some extra flash would do.
I did this a couple years ago to add some “legs” and “antennae” to some craw baits. Had decent success with them
Alex leave your tab end on one end its the easiest way to fed it into the needle. Been doing this on craw worms for a long time with living rubber.
Thanks for the tip 👊🏻
Do the "childs rig" put a spiked weight in the bottom. Helps out tremendously from getting snagged
That’s a good idea 👊🏻
Ben miliken just did this I’m glad you guys thought outside the box to make those tuff to get lures
Is it possible to place them and have them clamped in the mold while you’re casting the plastic?
Maybe that would help solidify it in the bait.
So cool! Do you have underwater footage?
Not yet!
First thought when i see the finished product is a dragon fly .
Pretty cool!
Great idea love the channel can’t wait to see the catches

In your experience, is it possible or economically sound to melt down old plastics that are torn up from use and repour them?
100% just save all your spent baits, cut them up, and melt them down.
Not something bass have never seen before at least up in NY I know a old-timer who was doing that with a senko 50 yes ago
The Senko was invented in 1996…
@@AlexRuddFishing didn't know exactly when it was invented or how long ago he was doing it but I knew that he was doing it long before I knew him
Put a drop of super glue on one side of the legs before you pull it through
That’s sounds like a giant sticky mess 😂😁🤙🏻
makin hairy baits
Try ‘em both ways..
Going to do this with my spent yamatanukis
Great idea!
