Shocking I started with jk news and on insta I started following these guys 💀💀💀 I've not grown as a person since I was like 12 and watching jk news fully unsupervised 😭 now I'm 21 watching jk news next generation
As someone diagnosed with ADHD I almost got diagnosed bi polar, and my psychologist said it’s quite common to be mis diagnosed as either because the symptoms are similar
This is a very interesting episode because these two groups are about 10 years apart and when I generally see groups with this age gap try to discuss, its usually not good because the older ones don't know how to listen and relate. I'm a 30 Y/O asian american guy. I'm literally of the group of millennials who treated sexuality slurs as deterrents for certain behaviors. When I got into high school, thats literally when I started hearing that sexuality slurs are really degrading/oppressive for gay people. Its a really toxic culture and mindset because things like not allowing yourself to cry and not investing in your mental health and being intolerant of others are all kinds of things that have led to the shitshow we see today in America with all these shootings and suicide rates going up. People are incredible intolerant of each other, and its worsened because of social media and technology. No one wants to change. No one wants to take responsibility. We're screwed as a society. There is a balance to things like emotional regulation vs. "shut up and get things done". The new generation literally does have it harder because they are tied to social media and the internet and they're not necessarily taught how to deal with it all. But the older generation spends too much time making fun of the younger generation and calling us snowflakes. When I look at Joe's age group, I see a lot of people who did things because they had to but the result was that you had a lot of broken people who didn't know who the hell they were and had very toxic relationships and interactions with other people. When I look at the younger generation (lets say 27 and younger), they have an insane amount of stress and a lot more on their plate to deal with and their sense of identity is tied to social media. It seems like they're lacking proper parenting/mentorship (which can be caused by parents being forced to work longer hours).
Well, Philippines used to be a Muslim country before the spanish. wouldn't surprise me if Ryan has some south asian or middle eastern in him. Would explain the beard
Had to add this to my favorites! I'm sitting over here like a dumba## smiling ear to ear. Dope conversations between to very similar generations of the same ethic.
Definitely younger sibling/cousin energy lol
Nah JK are the seniors and UTI are the cool freshmen
Now I feel proud that you redecorated the studio
when he asked what race are you to ryan and anthony said indian and did the head bob I LOST IT 😭😭😭😭😭😩
6:20 Nick looks like a little baby in between parents having an argument
1:41 is such a wholesome and funny moment. I had to repeat it like 5 times. 😂 They need to bring UTI again.

Why go to college than if youre not going to use any of it. Waste of money 🤦♀️
Because it shows you have a “degree” to some corporate job that is totally unrelated to
When everybody pressures you to do something useful after school ends, you head to the best sounding solution and this would be college.
I need a full 1-2 hour podcast with these guys, they just fit the vibe so well!
YESSSS, this is what we need!!!
I love Bart calling out Anthony always for some bs “YOU SAID IT FIRST” 🤣
I love it how Esther trolled Bart about her father running away to Korea after he made that joke about his dad's passing. 😂😂😂😂
So her dad didnt run away?
Subin's dad ran away to Korea too 😂
Loveddd it!!! Shes soo funnyyyy
@@LaddRusso91Nah, her dad literally ran away. She just made it funny.
That is actually a perfect way of describing it, Under The Influence is like JK if they were in an alternate universe LOL no wonder they vibe so well.
Joe becomes a whole different person when he starts using his unlicensed psychology degree
also when he starts talking about conspiracy theories.
And dinosaurs

They're serious and funny as hell at the same time.
Wootak articulated brilliantly about the power of journaling. Writing is cathartic and can change the course of one’s life.
6:34 The way Nick’s in the middle looking back and forth at Bart and Anthony
I loved this episode so much lmao. Hit all the marks: comedy, therapy, seriousness, educational, etc.
