I was just thinking about him week or so ago. I couldn’t remember the cancer he died from. I have been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and they gave me on 2 years but I’m still fighting 4 years later thanks to the grace of God!!
a life well lived.....and its not a "tragic" Hollywood story....its actually an inspiring Hollywood story.....the story of two successful actors who loved each other and raised up a good family, not succumbing to the shallowness and coldness and arrogance of Hollywood.
I met him in person in Chicago for a cancer fund raiser. He was one of the nicest people that I have ever met. I loved him. Rest in peace Robert and Heather.
I loved Vegas! I watched it faithfully! So sad about Robert and Heather. I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2012, told 2 years and I'm still fighting it today. Thank God! Depending on what kind of cancer a person has, cancer isn't the death sentence it once was. Thank God, I'm still here and doing well.
I was diagnosed with cancer in my spine, (C-6 and & 7) in 1979 and am still alive today. Thank you to the Canadian medical system as that all the treatments were free. God has nothing to do with surviving cancer just a good medical system and good Dr.s.
I liked him as an actor, but admittedly do not know much about him. I just rememb r him as a little kid. I was too young to appreciate him, but he reminds me of Jonathan Frakes
Passing away on Christmas Eve, surrounded by family--unimaginable. The strength his wife had after Robert Urich's passing until hers is the strength I hope I can find
My son was friends with Ryan Urich growing up as they went to the same school and Robert and I sat together on the bleachers at a few school basketball games to watch our boys play. I was always struck by what a decent, down to earth person he was, very friendly. His wife Heather was also a wonderful person that my wife got quite friendly with through school activities. Both wonderful people, and great kids as well.
I grew up watching him and use to love Spencer for Hire... My mom loved detective, action shows... Nice to know he was a great guy off the screen, as well.
He always seemed like a cleancut, decent family man. Not a Hollywood playboy, not all ego and flaunting his looks or wealth. Lovely to hear about his happy family life. RIP Heaven has a happy couple 4ever together.
I've always had a little crush on him and thought he was one of THE most handsome and nice actors in the business...next to Paul Newman and Robert Redford. I'd like to know more about his children as I've never heard anything about them. I met Robert's Aunt who lives not far from me now in Southeast MO where I recently moved and helped her find something in a Walmart store and she was so polite and nice and I told her my name and we chatted a bit and she asked me had I heard of Robert Urich...I said why yes he was one of my favorites and I'd always admired him and crushed on him as well.....she said I'm Vida Urich his Aunt! that made my day to know he came from humble Midwest background or at least his Aunt did for much of her life....his Aunt was a sweet lady, hoping she's still alive this was just 4 years ago I met her in the store. God Bless Robert and his Wife and their family.
I am a Urich contemporary, as well as a miraculous cancer survivor. Way back when I lived in LA, my young family often sat near Robert's family at church. We never became acquainted, but our religious proximity alone means much to me to this day.
@@FactsVerse I did not beat cancer. The Good Lord decided that I should go on past it. At this point--nearly four years past my diagnosis, rapid remission and stem cell transplant--I have a couple of ideas why He spared me. I don't expect to ever know the full answer: on this side, anyway. Thanks for your note, FV.
My sister Theresa, had breast cancer and a double mastectomy. She owned a hair salon and started to set the women, who had lost their hair due to chemotherapy and now had wigs, at Fountain Valley Hospital where she met Robert. He inspired her and she has credited part of her outlook on. life, due to his influence. She is survivor and her and her husband are doing well. Thank you Robert.
I’m a 2x Breast cancer Survivor. Thank your Sister for me. What a positive way to deal with her diagnosis. My husband of 29 yrs left me when I got my diagnosis
As I remember, he had suspicions of a growth, had it checked and was told it was benign, he still had his doubts and I believe after a period of time he had it checked again and it was cancer..Always trust your gut feelings, especially with today's medical professionals that have great technology at their disposal but are mediocre technicians and diagnosticians ...
I am so glad he had such a nice life with his wife and children....The fact that his marriage lasted so long is more evidence of the fact he was a stand-up kind of guy. I have to admit I had a big crush on him as a teen....lol
Robert &his wife Heather had a summer home in Prince Edward County in Eastern Ont Canada I was born &, raised there but not fortunate enough to meet him
Mr. Urich and his wife had a vacation home in Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada-there are only a few small towns in the area and the locals have told stories of the many acts of kindness that the Urichs did for the local townspeople--even when Mr. Urich was battling cancer he helped sponsor and visit a neighboring cancer summer camp for children
Prince Edward County is probably best know for their wineries, as there are more than 35, a artists’ community, great restos, festivals and of course the Sandbanks provincial park and beach. Not from there, but want to visit and sample the county’s wines.
The story is told very well, with one exception. The name of the cancer Robert had was Synovial Cell Sarcoma. I liked watching his detective show. He played a nice and humble character. I noticed the name of the cancer because it is the same type I survived, and it is rare. Especially in adults. I remember finding out that Robert had died of the same type of cancer I had been diagnosed as having. Knowing that made me realize I really did have something deadly, even though I didn't feel sick, and I hadn't heard of that type of cancer before. People really liked Robert Urich. It was sad to find out he died.
Robert Urich, was my favorite male actor, I still feel sad when I realize he is gone,So happy to read on here about the wonderful life he shared with Heather. RIP in peace. You are missed.
When I was growing up he was always on tv. I absolutely loved him. He was married to his wife for twenty five beautiful years, his was blessed. May they both Rest In Peace.
Didn't realize Urich had died. He was excellent as Spencer, and Jake Spoon in Lonesome Dove. Such an untimely, sad death. But good to know he was such a quality human being who was blessed with a loving family.
He was in the Cancer Treatment Center in Zion, Il. the same time my husband was there, he passed away April 16, 2002, and my husband Robert passed away April 30, 2002. I remember seeing pictures of him at the hospital, always enjoyed him in anything show he was in. Was very sad, hard to believe it's 19 years already.
Rest in peace Robert Ulrich. I also did not know of his passing away from cancer 20 years ago. I just took for granted that he retired. Thank you so much for all that you did while you were with us. I really enjoyed Vega$, it was my favorite of his shows. You are missed. Rest in peace and my prayers for all of his family and friends as well. Patricia Ward, Los Angeles, CA A fan.
We were fortunate to have Mr. Urich and his wife, Ms. Menzies, talent grace our screens. Their lives made a positive difference and in more than just acting talent. It it is so refreshing to hear people say what truly wonderful people they were. I find it inspirational that even after their passing, so many people feel good about them. Thanks...
I loved watched Robert in Vagas , it's a shame they have'nt repeated it on TV as I love watching " most " past programmes , posting from London ENGLAND
Sad and heart breaking. May they both rest in peace. Two great actors dying to soon. I Love his acting and hers in sound of music. And Robert was a great actor. Both will be truly missed
I heard in an interview he said he brought flew his family to the sets of where he was acting. They had a private jet. Also, they had adopted I believe was a little boy. They told him he was adopted and does he know what that means? The little boy said, "Yes, it means I'm special." Precious.
This was a very beautifully and well put together video. You showed much respect and love for both of these wonderful people. And I am sure that the family is very grateful for the work you put into this video. Thank you guys so much for posting. Everyone take care, take it easy and be safe. PS God bless Robert and Heather and their kiddos. Yes I know they’re adults now but they are still kiddos nonetheless. Lots of love, light and blessings going their way.
Had a few ideas, but now that you have put me on the spot I can’t think of them now, LOL! Just doing videos on these oldschool actors and how their lives turned out and what they’re up to is really cool. So keep doing what you’re have been doing and we will definitely enjoy watching them. Thank you for the wonderful glowing star. Everyone take care, take it easy and be safe
How lucky they both were to have found each other, and to have such a beautiful relationship. When I was younger I never missed an episode of Vegas, and fell madly in love with Robert Urich. God bless them both
SWAT was the first time I saw Robert Urich and I thought he was a beautiful man. He was. I also saw The Sound of Music. And watched Vega$ and Spencer for Hire. Beautiful couple. Their loss makes me sad. Condolences to their children. No matter how much time passes, it’s hard losing loved ones.
I remember seeing Robert on Tv speaking of battling cancer. He said something that moved me. It is paraphrased. He said, yes, I am an actor, but frankly folks, acting is a no brainer. This is real life. I admired him for that.
I was a young Policeman in Oxnard, CA back in the late 70’s my wife and Robert’s wife Heather became friends after meeting in church, both walking noisy babies in the lobby. I, of course, was always working and never met either of them, but my wife still speaks sweetly of both Robert and Heather... regular, down to earth folks.
Kudos to you Mr. R Jones. Well written and very well said. Compassion and empathy are extremely rare and very rarely expressed (so sad). You are the real deal. A bright shining beacon to all.
That was a great tribute to Robert Urich and his wife. I loved his acting style and was a long-time fan. I faithfully watched him weekly on television and looked forward to his TV series; Vegas. Spenser for Hire and The Lazarus Man. He was a wonderful actor and human being. I didn’t know his wife had also died of cancer. Together again - RIP
As I was watching this, in my mind I somehow got him mixed up with Gil Gerard and kept waiting for the video to give him credit for playing Buck Rogers😬🥱
It's tragic that he died so young but he was well loved by his family and his fans and he had a good life and a good career. His end came too soon but to go after a life well lived and well loved is not a tragic end. It's sad as all deaths are sad but tragedy is to die alone and without love.
@@sarahholland2600 I agree, and I don't consider it a downfall either, not in this case anyway. However, despite the odd framing I'm glad I watched this video, it was a nice memorial to a good man and a good woman.
When Robert Urich moved to Boston to do Spencer for Hire he became best friends with a life long friend of our family who himself was the nicest kindest and self sacrificing volunteer husband and father I ever knew. When visiting, Vin told me the most marvelous stories about Urich. It seems he was exactly like Vin (and as a husband and father too) but Vin said he was the greatest human being he ever knew. A total gentleman who loved his TV crew personally and treated everyone in a dignified manner. At least his wife had enough time to say goodbye to her family and not linger long in pain.
Thank you very much for this Beautiful story on Robert and your friend Vin. It gave me acknowledgement about what I was thinking about Robert. Thanks for sharing this. Peace and Love to al of you. Eric Bernard, Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
I loved everything Robert Urich was in. However, I was most impressed by his last series “The Lazarus Man”. I couldn’t wait for the next episode to come on. I was devastated when I heard of his illness. I remember his wife being in the original version of “ Yours, Mine, and Ours” with Lucille Ball and Henry Fonda as a child. A great couple and tragic loss. 💔
He was a role model for boys in the 70s. It was sort of when men were men. Like Robert Conrad. Some simpler times and good memories, RIP Mr. and Mrs. Urich.
I remember watching Spencer for hire Saturday nights on ABC, it was on at 10:00 pm. After O'Hara. if I'd worked Saturdays I would especially be looking forward to coming home and having something to eat and kicking back and watching Spencer for hire among the Saturday night line-up at the time. I was moving furniture back then, (1987) and that was a time when typically What defined a man was what he did for a living. Robert urich & Robert Conrad were considered men's, men. Robert Conrad had a TV show as well in 1987 , it may have been on the same night I can't remember if it was Saturday or Sunday. both of those legends have since passed on. Robert Conrad starred with his two real life sons each week in his show. It seems I remember Robert uric also had a show a few years later where he played a father trying to rebond with his estranged teenage son, and they spent each week nomadically traveling around the country on a motorcycle and encountering different situations with people and in one way or another impacting the lives of the people they encountered. I cannot remember the name of that show for the life of me, it lasted for not all that long, but it was a good show that should have been on longer. I remember when Robert urich was going through his battle with cancer he did a radio commercial where he talked about knowing what it was like to deal with cancer and how you can never have (quote- too many friends) when you're going through a personal battle with cancer.
He seemed like a wonderful guy. You never heard bad things about him in any paper or the media. A true family man. And he was damn good looking too. It is sad and tragic about his passing and his wife as well. And I hope that the foundation that they created will help others in their battle to fight cancer.
Wished this world was full of more guys like him. Talented, great looking, and MOST importantly a man to admire. The way he loved his wife and never cheated. Heather what a lucky lady. I miss you Robert!!!
*EXCUSE ME!!!! My Previous Comment, was OnLy for your SECOND Sentence!!!!* *I DO QUALIFY on your THIRD Sentence!!! I Get 100% on Sentence # 2!!!* *My name IS ROBERT!!!!*
I am a loyal fan of Robert Urick one of my favorite shows was a film called Fight Back where he played Rocky Blier the Pittsburgh Steelers player I taped almost every episode of Vegas because I worked second shift and I could watch it when I get home I enjoyed SWAT and will always remember Jim Street You didn't mention that he was in Magnum Force with Clint Eastwood Rest in Peace Mr. and Mrs. Urick you will forever live on Television
From when I was about 13, the action TV show, "Swat" came out, my bf and I, fell for Robert Urich, and never missed a show. I even had the cool theme song from, Swat, on a record. He was always a handsome, sexy guy and a good actor. I used love the show" Vegas" Robert as Dan Tanna. I felt so bad when he got cancer years later. He went into remission for a while, but it finally ended his life.😔 I also felt bad for his wife Heather too. RIP Robert and Heather.😔💘💘🙏🙏
Such a terrible tragedy that such good people are taken too soon. Mr. Urich narrated the documentary Urban Gorilla about gorillas in zoos. He clearly cared about the sufferings of animals. R.I.P. with all my heart.
It isn't often that we hear of a couple who have stayed married to one another throughout their lifetimes AND were focused on helping others suffering from what ended their liv3s! Amazing story shared here about a loving, caring and selfless couple! Thanks for sharing this with us!
Didn't know he was married to someone who played in "The Sound of Music". Sounds like they were inseparable & truly loved ea other. How refreshing & wonderful. God Bless them BOTH.
@@chloe8907 , Exactly...I would sit and watch him and not notice anyone around me. I was in a fantasy just me and him. Major drooling while watching this hunk of a beautiful man.... My handsome husband would leave me alone and reap the rewards of me being Horny afterwards...😜 🙋♀️😷😁🤷♀️
Cyndy mississauga..I watched Robert URich in Swat. Spencer Vegas. And loved them all and I too thought he was very good looking and like other s had a crush too. I have both the Swat dvds and as well the Vegas ones as well. A co star on Vegas with Robert has also joined he and Heather is Tony Curtis and only a short time ago I learned he too had passed. Heather once played on Vegas and i am sure. Was a memory for her after his passing. I cannot imagine after he passed how hard it must have been to watch their mother pass and of all times Christmas Eve. There could not be a worse time to face a family loss than Christmas and spend it in a funeral situation and at a funeral home. I myself faced it just after Christmas time. I hope they both RIP. I hope their kids find some peace going forward

I have been watching my way through the "Spenser for Hire" episodes. Love the show and often think about his too-early passing from that terrible disease. May the two of them rest in peace. This is a very nice tribute to them. Thank you!
So sad but good to know they had a happy life. Never missed an episode of of Vegas and Spencer for hire. He was a good actor and very appealing and in interviews he seemed a nice person.
I want to thank all the people who were behind putting this short video together. You showed the humanity of these 2 wonderful people. I did not know either of them but, I believe I now know them better. I would have been a best friend to them if I had known them. Thank you.
They both were tremendous actors. It's a true tragedy to have list such loving, caring, and happy people. God take care of them and comfort their children and friends. Amen
I knew and admired Both of these fine people. I would like to note : the writing and delivery of this message is striking in it's words of positivity, hope and respect. It was NOT some self serving, sleazy tabloid video. It was respectful and brought up the right ideas and thoughts about this fine couple, and fighting Cancer. THANK YOU Facts Verse for doing the right thing. And, RIP to Heather and Robert. Bless their children. How blessed they all ready were with such wonderful parents.
He had to go against John Travolta, Freddie Prinze, David Cassidy, Andy Gibb, etc. Guys he easily had more masculinity over. He was a big guy to begin with, and his roles made him even more " macho" than the rest of them.
I loved Robert Urich and his work in Vega$ and Spencer for Hire. I remember once sending him a fan letter that he responded to personally. I was so sad when I heard of his cancer and then his death. He was such a handsome, talented yet humble man.
I was a big fan of Robert Urich, I would watch "Vegas" religiously and was disappointed when It was cancelled. Then came "Spenser For Hire" , which for me was one of the Best TV shows on television at the time. I loved his sometimes rocky/unique friendship with Hawk(Avery Brooks). It was based on respect the two had for each other. I still watch it through streaming. It's still a favorite, It was just a great show with a really good cast. Robert just seemed like a really good down to earth guy. The character he played on Vegas and Spenser were the type of guys if you knew in real life, you'd know they'd have your back 🙂👌.
Renee You’ll be as glad as I was to read another poster’s comment a few days ago (think it’s mjornick?) who said he got to know him through their kids and both Robert and Heather were lovely people! I was so happy because he always seemed that way - glad it was true and I was SO very sorry when he died and years later Heather as well.
@@lindahoffman2692 , Yes, I got a chance to read so many lovely comments about Robert and Heather. It's always great to know that the people you enjoy and like seeing on the little or big screen are Genuinely Nice People. They both Left to soon.😢😢
He really demonstrated his great acting best in Lonesome Dove, playing Jake Spoon. The death of his character was one of the most heart wrenching scenes, it was almost too real....best performance I have ever seen in movies. May he and his lovely wife, rest in peace.
Theirs was a rare marriage of true love and devotion especially in a setting of show business..nobility of character is what they both have and carried on to their children. What a legacy for humanity.
I got to interview Urich after he was in "Lonesome Dove." He told me it was one of his favorites because he got to play a bad guy and go against type. I wish he had a longer career.
I don't remember him in lonesome dove. I may have only seen one or pàrt of an episode. But since he was such a nice, man with good character,. I'm kinda surprised that that was one of his favorites, since it was said he played a bad guy.
I would've liked to have seen him make a guest appearance in Star Trek Deep Space Nine, Avery Brooks who played Capt. Sisko had previously been in Spencer for Hire playing a character called Hawk (He had a chrome-plated 0.357" Magnum revolver with a 10 inch barrel).
Robert Urich was great in "The Ice Pirates" (1984) along with Anjelica Huston, Ron Perlman, Mary Crosby and others. One of my favorite Sci-Fi movies - campy and fun.
I was wondering when someone was going to mention Ice Pirates! Loved that movie when I was a kid too! Used to watch pieces and bits of Spencer for hire when my mom watched it, and remember when he was in Magnum force with Clint Eastwood. Robert Urich was great and a real class act. I was sad about his passing and I never knew about his wife's passing until now. I'm glad they had a full rich life together. They deserved it.
I recently saw his Vegas series on the Decades channel -- repeated over a 48 hour period -- and it was great all over again. He was a great professional actor, along side his wife.
I grew up in the 70s and with Robert as an icon. I didn't even know he'd died. His son is the spitting image of him! Thank you for this, it's sweet and shows that true love still exists.
I remember growing up watching all his movies with my parents who are both no longer here. It’s funny how an actor can also bring out memories of your family members who are no longer here as they were much a big part of watching their tv shows.
He was a great actor, very handsome man. His wife was beautiful. Its so sad how they both passed away so young. May they both rest in peace. They will always be remembered.
Jake Spoon was an asshole . Yes he was just acting & he played the part good . As big an asshole as Jake was it was still hard to hate him . Maybe it was just people liked Robert Urich so much it was hard to hate Jake .
@@annablee1027 Anna Very sad and reminded me of the tragic deaths of Christopher Reeve followed by his wife Dana’s passing less than 2 years later! Both such good people to suffer tragedy and left a young son behind. Life can be EXTREMELY unjust to nice people - seems like the bad ones live forever sometimes!
Robert and Heather were truely, a pwer couple.. Both were amazing actors in their own rights. To see a husband and wife, stand by each other no matter what, is inspiring for us all.. Also, they were blessed with some wonderful children as well.. !!!!
Wonderful story. Great actor and very handsome. I do remember his wife in The Sound Of Music and other projects. Hoping their children and grandchildren lead prosperous lives.
This makes me sad. I had the privilege of personally meeting him and his hunting partner at the Atlanta airport. I have his autograph, but I stood with and talked while watching their airplane being loaded and right before his preboarding. He was flying to Augusta, GA to hunt. He was a very big man with gentle manners. I named my only child in 1993, after him. "Spenser for Hire", I spelled my child's name Spencer. I enjoyed Spenser for Hire...and I was able to personally tell him. That was huge for me. I usually do not star chase...perfect place, perfect time, perfect moments...it was between 1988 and 1990.
Chance meetings are the best. I'm glad yours was with a genuinely nice person, who happened to be an actor. I basically grew up watching him. I never heard of anything negative about him. Even better was you met before all this social media mess and the "selfie hunters". I hope you had the opportunity to have a picture taken with him and his friend. The old-fashioned chance meeting- real picture taken experience far outweighs the star-hawking phone selfie ways of today. And the celebrities of today aren't much better. You know what I'm talking about. I'm glad you met someone so respectable you could proudly name your child after. Not many people can say that. Have a nice day, and may Peace and good health be with you and your family.
Thank you for sharing heartfelt story about Robert Urich. He and his wife seemed like very nice people. I was a fan of them both & I watched them often on the original Home and Family Show. I especially liked to hear that you named your son Spencer, after him.
My boss used to go see him In Lad Vegas where he's perform while her husband would go gambling! I always wanted to go see him too! That's sad, they don't make them like that anymore!
It makes you sad, but it makes me glad. To me, the guy was a BULLY with guns. You don't kill animals. Animals have a right to live also, just like us humans. The guy must have been nice and courteous with people, but was the contrary with animals. Stupid people call the cowardly and mean act of hunting a sport. That's how STUPID, IGNORANT and IDIOTIC some people are nowadays.
@@antoniocamacho4769 Someone has shown sadness over a human being's suffering & death & you say you are glad. That is heartless. I do understand that you do not agree with killing animals. If you are a vegetarian & do not eat meat, I thoroughly understand your point of view re: animals. If you do eat meat, purchased in a store, this is a very different story. Robert Was of many generations that grow up differently in certain areas of the country. My Dad grew up in Colorado. When he was a boy he had to fish, to hunt deer and other animals, or else they would NOT have enough food!! He would go hungry for days sometimes if conditions were not good. They were not extremely poor, but it was how it was at that time. In certain areas of our country, even today, sometimes there are too many animals in an area, it can become overrun with a population, & the town leader's will ask hunters to come in to take care of the problem it creates for animals & people. Overcrowding of animals can lead to their death under conditions. It is about the eco system for the area. I have given you a perspective that you may not have been aware of. Doing research is smart & does not lead to being ignorant of any subject!!
I always had a huge crush on him growing up & was heartbroken when he passed away. So happy to know he was one of those rare, good men & had a lasting marriage with a lovely woman & children. I hope they are both Resting In Peace & I know their children cherish having had such great parents.
SOAP, SWAT, VEGAS AND SPENSER FOR HIRE!!! I really enjoyed his acting, including his role with David Soul in Magnum Force, with Clint Eastwood..I was sad when he and his wife, Heather passed away. I hope that God has them in Heaven!
We enjoyed watching him in the various roles. However, the one that impressed us the most was that of a father and spouse. One winter when we went to Mass at one of the ski resorts, we happened to be sitting in front of their family. During the traditional part of the Mass when you turn toward those near you and exchange a blessed greeting and handshake, his oldest son was a bit slow on the uptake, and dad made sure with a reproachful pat on the son's back, that attitude was not going to be tolerated. That spoke volumes to us. A normal family, with every day family dynamics and a father who didn't loose site of his obligation to teach and nurture. Decades later and that is still fresh in our memories.
He was such a good actor, I really enjoyed watching him on TV, in real life he was a good person too. My respect to him. Love you Mr urich... Its Logan Run that I really knew Heather.
I remember reading in TV Guild have she was holding him at the last moments of his life. She said that he was telling her how afraid he was to die. She held him close and was telling him to "climb into my heart, there is a lot of love in there". When she let go of him he was dead. it made tears come down my face when I read that all those years ago.
Too bad his wife or a friend didn’t tell him about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ - he wouldn’t have been afraid to die knowing he was going to Heaven!
@@jimodell6213 what ?! a judgement ? a thought that was a no no according to the bibble? Do you know where you are going? and no the bibble does not say just because you know and accept him blah, blah, blah, you go to heaven! it does also depends on your heart and your actions. So it is both, in other words. If you truly believe, you act or try to act act as J would have acted. And the final judgement goes to the big invisible guy in the sky. Church going people I talk to I ask "who comes first your spouse or your kids?" - most get it wrong !, so they have less respect for their religion and their G than most athiests! So many church goers just pick out bits of the bibble here and there to cobble together to say whatever they want. SMH. pompousness, so Christ like, suuure .....(sarcasm). Ohhh, and lets not mention how modest and meek (both praised in the bible), publicly announcing a judgement on youtube is. May Jesus help you.
I can't begin to tell you. During the 70's & 80's, I was into horses in a big way. While in Texas I did calf-roping (and sucked at it), then team roping (had a great partner). Moved to Memphis and connected with Hunter / Jumpers (Like Reeve). I can't begin to tell you how many times I've been dumped on my head like that. Plenty of sore necks and abrasions. The only thing I can say is that I weighed 175 and Christopher was well over 200, putting more compression on his neck. But for the grace of GOD.
I was just thinking about him week or so ago. I couldn’t remember the cancer he died from. I have been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and they gave me on 2 years but I’m still fighting 4 years later thanks to the grace of God!!

Heather passed about 4 years ago. They were a great couple together.
I am a lifelong Bostonian. Wish I had the privilege of meeting him. I'm 58 yrs old and he really came across as a genuine guy. God bless 🙏 👍
Passing away on Christmas Eve, surrounded by family--unimaginable. The strength his wife had after Robert Urich's passing until hers is the strength I hope I can find
Same here, Dean!
I just hope you won't have to find it in that way.
Same day as my Sweet Dad!! 😕
HAPENED A LONG TIME AGO!!!!!!
Thanks for the extra info. ☮️

I grew up watching him and use to love Spencer for Hire... My mom loved detective, action shows... Nice to know he was a great guy off the screen, as well.
What a beautiful memory of those two beautiful souls.
He always seemed like a cleancut, decent family man. Not a Hollywood playboy, not all ego and flaunting his looks or wealth. Lovely to hear about his happy family life. RIP Heaven has a happy couple 4ever together.
We will miss Robert Urich. A fine actor, and a very, very nice man.
Thanks for watching!

He looks like Tony Schiavone
LONG TIME AGO FROM A RARE CANCER!
I am a Urich contemporary, as well as a miraculous cancer survivor. Way back when I lived in LA, my young family often sat near Robert's family at church. We never became acquainted, but our religious proximity alone means much to me to this day.
We're happy you were able to beat cancer. Stay positive and think happy thoughts. Robert will be sorely missed 💗
@@FactsVerse I did not beat cancer. The Good Lord decided that I should go on past it. My sister Theresa, had breast cancer and a double mastectomy. She owned a hair salon and started to set the women, who had lost their hair due to chemotherapy and now had wigs, at Fountain Valley Hospital where she met Robert.

MJA Very well put.
"when men were men." loving that phrase, all we have now are a bunch of whiners!

I'm surprised he wasn't a much bigger sex symbol,he was an absolutely gorgeous hunk of a man
Maybe because he wasn't a typical macho man, often nice men are not considered "sex symbols".. good for them. Besides, he didn't need it.
He had to go against John Travolta, Freddie Prinze, David Cassidy, Andy Gibb, etc. Guys he easily had more masculinity over. He was a big guy to begin with, and his roles made him even more " macho" than the rest of them.

He was a very nice guy he used to come into Albertsons in Vegas to buy donuts for everyone on the movie set. Always had a smile on his face.
I loved ROBERT in Vagas , I didn't know he was dead . I Saw every one of the series and movie he was in...
My mom used to watch Vegas all the time I used to come home and there was Dan Tana on the tv it was her favorite show 👍
@@yolandaraya7779 I didn’t know he had died either!! 😯
Who cares?
@@sharont2009 Sourpuss!
Loved him as Dan Tanner and her in Logan’s Run. RIP you too.
Logan's Run... Farrah Fawett
Mine too. Ice pirates was good too. Space herpies. Best
Loved him in Lonseome Dove also!
Tanna * it was his license plate on the red convertible in Vegas.
Yesss Dan Tanner. We need a reboot
I like how he got to play the non stereo typical character in Lonesome Dove.
His portrayal of Jake Spoon in Lonesome Dove was the best thing he'd done in film for a long time... RIP Bob
I was thinking that
Lonesome Dove. Jake Spoon. Best ever
Lonesome Dove was incredibly well done and he more than held his own
Jake Spoon was an asshole . Yes he was just acting & he played the part good . As big an asshole as Jake was it was still hard to hate him . Maybe it was just people liked Robert Urich so much it was hard to hate Jake .
Very sad to hear 🙏rip
I never knew they died of cancer. Thanks for sharing this.
I never 👎 knew either, this really is a true sad 😢 story. Makes you really think 🤔 that I am blessed 🥲 & healthy
For today !
So sad 😭
I also didn't know he passed away......😔😔
Such a nice couple, and he was such a hunk! Read the Spenser novels again...putting Robert in your mind as Spenser.... it's a real treat.
Robert was a great man. He used to visit his uncle who taught at my highschool of Fremont Ross in Fremont,Ohio.
I met Robert in Fremont when his uncle ran for Fremont mayor back in 1982 I think it was. Robert was a great guy!
I always had a huge crush on him growing up & was heartbroken when he passed away. So happy to know he was one of those rare, good men & had a lasting marriage with a lovely woman & children. I hope they are both Resting In Peace & I know their children cherish having had such great parents.
He was one of my favourite TV actor then.
Yes. Same here.
They had a great love here & beyond (paradise)🙏❤️
Always loved his lifetime movies and other ... He was handsome guy💔💕💔
His greatest role was Jake Spoon in “Lonesome Dove.”
Absolutely right. I couldn't imagine Jake being played by anyone else. Stay safe.
I have the whole series on DVD. Best $15 spent.
Oh yeah
I agree..
This role wasn't even mentioned in this poorly edited video.
He was one of the "Good Guys" - which you don't see too much in Hollywood these days. God Bless to his children.
Robert urich could have had any woman he wanted but he stayed true to his wife. What a classy guy.
We miss him too, Samson!
May they rest in peace. My condolences to their loved ones and friends.
Thanks for sharing this, bigbilltoady!
That was lovely, thank you.
Too bad his wife or a friend didn’t tell him about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ - he wouldn’t have been afraid to die knowing he was going to Heaven!
So touching
This story reminds me of Christopher Reeve dying, then the wife died too, leaving kids behind!☹️
😭
Heather lived 'til December 24, 2017. She was 68. Still relatively young but not exactly leaving young children behind.
So sad, but inspiring how their love brought them through the tragedy of cancer. God rest their beautiful souls.
Thanks for watching, Septemberanch!
