I hear someone say when are will going to have young president in Nigeria. Maybe that person should go and recheck history, we've never had any old age president until second time of President Obasanjo in 1999. Infact Gen.Gowon was 29years when he ruled us then. And till second time of Obasanjo all our president were within 29 to 40. By now since our independent we can only talk about Obasanjo, Buhari and current president as old people. Both Yardua and Goodluck can't be even categorized to be old person too.
However age or no age doesn't matter but capacity, capability, good leadership acute and love of the country is what matters.
You are right, I was watching a history of Nigeria by jide Olarenwaju on this platform and I was shocked by the long stream of young leaders we had. even when the first coup happened apparently many Nigerians thought old people were the ones in government, tafawa was in his early 50s. I don't know how that characterises as old. Moving on Aguiyi ironsi was 42, gowon was in his 30s, and everyone that followed were in their 30s or 40s. We can't really say 64 is old for obj but maybe that's old but buhari was our first time having a really old man as president.
As you said, what's most important is the administrative capacity and leadership skill of the leader regardless of age or class

How has it not occurred to anyone to stop antiquated colonial military ceremonies, and welcome foreigners with some kind of cultural displays.
Not many Africans realized those are antiquated traditional adopted from the west. They should learn from the very west that had moved on with some of its traditions.
