- Bahia de Kino is located in the Golf of California, it is part of Sonora state and its name is in honor to Padre Eusebio Kino (or Padre Kino) a very famous missionary who explored the region and worked with the indigenous Native American population.
Bahia de Kino has around 7000+ residents and it is a touristic area for people from all over Mexican country and international tourists. You can travel from Hermosillo city, it is about 108 km away if you drive the highway.
Around this beautiful town you can find fresh seafood just near by the beach or you can go to the restaurants and stay comfortable with your friends and family.
During summer weather can reach 45 / 50 Celcius (113 / 120 Farenheit) so you better bring your sunscreen with you or come by after 5 pm.

May I ask you, what is the drive like from Hermosillo to here. Is it a freeway or more of a deserty road, if you know please. Just that I've been wanting to go there, but with a special needs child, I have to take extra steps for our trips and plan ahead. Thank you in advance.
