      indeed they can. i really like the palles knives, they are very simple and classy but, seriously good cutters as well.

    Lot's of good info in this video. I want one of those Bokers... and one of those Ganzos :) I like how you focused on how well various knives can take a sharp edge easily. I'm not the greatest sharpener, so something that is easy for me to sharpen is more desirable than a so-called "super-steel." I have an easier time getting my Leatherman Crater hair shaving sharp than most of my knives.

      I think the jade green Boker with the funny name. Or do you mean the Ozark Trail? I like the grey or tan ones.

      +Yehoshua Jason D. Stone for the price I don't think you'd be disappointed with either.

      it's a bit thin in the handle but so far i like it just fine and like most knives, it cuts, so that's the main point.

    Coast knives can be found for a good price also, and are not too bad for a beater knife.

      indeed. i got my dad a coast lockback with a clip blade and wood scales almost 30 years ago for fathers day and he still has it, in fact i sharpened it for him just last year. very good knife!

      I just got a Coast BX211 a little while ago, not a bad knife at all. I am thinking of getting the larger version, thr Coast BX311. It's kind of like a Delica looking knife.

    Really liked this video, makes me want one of them Ganzo's. And I'm from Portugal, lol, most people in my country if you call them Spanish they will fight you. How did the parings knives work out (if they did at all).

    • @Prometheus1111
      @Prometheus1111 8 років тому

      my apologies. the paring knives are the most prized and best cutters in my kitchen and no one but, me is allowed to use them :) the e. pires is my most favorite, so traditional and simple. could you tell me how to pronounce the name of the palles knives? i'm not sure i am saying it right. they have been seeing a lot of use lately.

    • @luisytacc

      You've been saying it fine, but if I had to give you a guide I would say join "Pa" from how people on TV from the south abbreviate "grandpa", and then "Les" like you're saying Les Paul. So "Pa Les".
