I really enjoyed this game. I've only played it once, but I'm already looking forward to playing it again.
You definitely love Germán P Millan haha
2 seals of excellence in a few months. What a successful author he became!
Oh no, Chris, I think that was our playthrough that ran long 😅! In our defense, we were all just learning it and paused to eat delicious pão de queijo. Haha.
Thanks for the great review.
I forget if I got to clarify that in the review, and I think everyone was being very thoughtful for a first play. I had a great time even though it ran longer. Subsequent plays have been much quicker! Though lacking in the Brazilian cheese rolls!
German Millán is also de designer of Sabika. Have you guys reviewed it yet? Will go and check. Anyway great vid
Great game, nice review!
AEG could take a lesson from the smaller box size.
Does Chris like Age Contrived? This review reminded me of it for some reason.
I am almost disappointed by the pun in the video title. I was looking forward to hearing about a game that made Mike angry. :)
Totally agree with Mike, which is no surprise btw..
An average rating of 8.16, doesn't it need a seal of approved in that case? Great review btw looks like it will be a good fit for my collection
aren’t the tiles and cards too small to read and shuffle comfortably? 😮
This looks like it would be a great 2 player game with a friend on a small table over some coffee.
I think I’ve got pretty good at guessing everyone’s scores before they say it!
I like the small box. But the comment Wendy made about the tiles being hard to read discourages me from playing.
We played it at DTW and liked it but the rule book is absolutely atrocious in our opinion. It seems like they wrote it to be intentionally convoluted.
Is it good with 2?
Yeah, I've only played it at 2 and it doesn't feel like it's missing anything from the intended experience. There's a very small "automa" player, if you can call it that, to tighten the area majority part of the game, but that's about it.
It's still good at two. The board feels a bit more open, you see fewer tiles, and the area majority part is just a little different.
Anyone else notice if the others rate a game higher or lower Wendy rates the opposite?
15 minutes of final thoughts? Come on guys
We've changed the naming of "Final Thoughts" to "Review" since that really makes more sense. The final thoughts are the last few minutes, but the 15 minute part is back-and-forth discussion, the meat of the video.
That box cover is striking and I'm all in on a mid-weight Euro in a smaller box.
