Kirk Hinrich is part of the reason Jimmy Butler developed as fast and as well as he did. Butler said Hinrich would guard the shit out of them in practice. You had to become good playing him.
John Wall and D-Rose credit Hinrich also for being tough on them in practice. Hinrich was a starter before they got to the league and told them he wasn’t gonna just give them the starting spot.
Thanks for these dudes giving Kirk his props. Dude was a good point guard. Tough, decent passer, good shooter, good defender, and just played hard. I’d also like to add that I think he fits the modern game well.
Honestly easily one of the most underrated players. I watched every game cpt Kirk played under a bulls uniform. After Jay Williams Injury we ended up w Kirk who is someone I believe is a true embodiment of a Chicago Bulls player
Kirk's battles with Wade were a thing of beauty. Probably lost more than he won because Wade's a HOFer but Kirk definitely held his own and made it very tough. Nice to see him get some respect.
Kirk Hinrich was one of the grittiest guys in NBA history. I still remember when the 8th seed Bulls pushed the Big 3 Celtics to 7 games, in a playoffs where the Celtics eventually won the title. The Bulls gave the Celtics the biggest fight in those playoffs and Kirk Hinrich was a HUGE reason why. I still remember Rondo tried throwing him into the scorers table and Kirk came right back and backed Rondo up and scared the hell out of him
I'm glad to see Captain Kirk getting some props.

Kirk was the reason I was #12 in h.s.
He’s the reason I love #10 from his Jayhawk days.
@@kylehall6072 yea I feel like he would of kept 10 but I think the bulls have it retired

the 8th seed were the Hawks that year, and they were the team that pushed em to game 7.
@@thesummaryguy3911no ! The pistons were the 8th seed and the bull took the Celtics to the brink in game seven as a 7seed

He was Alex Caruso before Alex Caruso.
Kirk Hinrich was the modern-day Jerry Sloan. They don't make players like that anymore.
