It's an *Assassin's Creed* game. "It's almost like they don't know what this game is supposed to be.." It's supposed to be an Assassin's Creed game set in the Viking era. Not a Viking game with Assassin's Creed lore.
@@meganlodon it is a viking game with scraps of ac lore, there is no ac gameplay at all, for every letter related to ac lore in some underground location there are 50 viking missions and unrelated story arcs alongside it, in terms of gameplay this is the worst ac game concept alone, the execution is even worse, some of the story (about 40%) is ac undoubtedly and is great, however the rest of that story and 95% of the gameplay is awful.
@@jar444 That's your opinion about the gameplay, and while I have an opposite opinion, it is your opinion. However, about the game being not an AC game is quite inaccurate. It doesn't matter the percentage. As long as it has the core elements of an AC game and expands on it's lore (which is the majority of the game's main storyline), then it's an AC game. Core elements: • *Assassns,* Hidden Ones, what ever else they are called. It doesn't matter if the main protagonist is an "assassin". It only matters if said character has a hand in the brotherhood. • *Templars,* Ancient Order, what ever else they are called. It doesn't matter if the main antagonist is an "templar". It only matters if said character has a hand in the order. • *The Isu,* the ones who came before, the pagan gods, what ever else they are called. This is the main core element of an AC game. Every game has Isu lore. Every character in every game has either met, helped, or became who they became because of, the Isu. That said, the reason we get the missions and storylines that are apart from the core elements, is quite obvious. It just merely depends on what character we play as. We have played, for too long, a character who merely engages in the Isu. Now, twice we have played a character, who has Isu blood running through her veins. A direct connection vs an indirect connection to the Isu. The Isu are the sole reason why assassins and templars are at war. It's Assassin's Creed; it's about the Creed and why it exists, and not because of the assassins themselves. And the Creed exists to keep the Templar's hands from Isu artifacts and knowledge. So, you can hate the game all you want, and say all you wish, but your subjective criticism does not change the truth that it's still an Assassin's Creed game; no matter how many times you deny it. While you have yet to do this, the major mistake many "fans" make is comparing each AC game, and put one above the others. It doesn't work that way. Each are to their own. Equally. Got this on pc, updated already to 1.3 with season pass. Turned pc on today to play and needs a 66gb update, wtf! The game already takes up 108gb on my drive, and this dlc is tiny?
Patch size does not necessarily mean the game size changes much. Some patches (due to how they are packaged and such - all comes down to how developers do their file structuring) can be fairly large, while the total game size might not change that much. Seen loads of games do XYZ GB patches, just to do a small hotfix. Those are fairly annoying, but that's what happens when developers do massive files for everything - when one small thing needs changing; the whole file usually needs updating, so a few MB worth of a hotfix (on it's own), might turn out to be several GB because it's in one massive file or something. No clue why you ran into having to download/patch again though.. The general area of the DLC looks tiny - but doesn't really "play like a tiny area". Yeah, that might sound weird, but you'll probably understand what I mean, when you start playing it. All in all, it's a great area - feels much better than the previous DLC, in my opinion.
I haven't been able to start it either I didn't even get the note ??? I finished the main story months ago I bought the season pass months ago what to do ???

@@kjk607 well for me it was definetely better than wrath if the druids and it made me actually interested in the paris story arc. I'd give it a 6,8/10, it may seem a bit harsh but if they would have put in 25% more effort in it, like say make the siege actually feel like one and the cavalry a bit more useful, it would have set the perfect vibe. I would have given it a 10/10 because the atmosphere was realy there and espacially at night. It was cool to have something new and more content, the swords and Scyths are also realy clever and it makes me feel like playing the Prolog from AC Unity only that it has no templars in it but a longer story with a brighter map 👌🏻
@@Dxioo8 if it's better than the Druids Dlc then I'm a little hopeful because i kinda enjoyed the Druids DLC. Thanks for the feedback.
@@kjk607 its defintely worth 👍🏻
no werewolves or giant boss battles?
I enjoyed it. It's nice to have more game to play
Ever since I downloaded the dlc I can't save my game keeps saying failed games unplayable
I got the season pass for the PC, can't get the outfit and the game crashed for the first time while in a Paris brothel talking to the King
My ruins don’t pop up over my adrenaline
You need to pause the silver and xp boost, they are located on the top right of the inventory screen. They are currently bugged and pausing them fixes this issue.
Thank you man appreciate it but dose my ruins work if I keep the boost or no ?
@@snag7168 yes they still work they just aren't displayed above your health bar.
Yes i can finally play a explosive saboteur build! Corpse bomb and golden flame bomb ftw!
Got to say, the gameplay is massively improved. The assassination events make the gameplay more fun and interesting. If only they had implemented the same in the base game, the game would have been more enjoyable
I think I’m missing something, is there somewhere to change your hair/tattoos in Francia? I can’t find it anywhere and it’s driving me crazy lol.
I just went back to England
Just better to go back to England since you know you can there
Love your videos Jor!! And loving the dlc. Keep up the good work.
paladin chest piece is not showing up in transmog as well for me rip
Thanks for tips :D
Honestly just grinded out the Rebel missions solo
Already completed the story and done all the rebel missions, kinda disappointed tbh but it's still pretty good
How? It doesn't come out until midnight
@@MariocarrilloOfficial it released a day early on xbox for some reason
@@Seninsi You're right! Thanks for sharing
Very good DLC in my opinion. Still don't know why it costs nearly $40.00. My only complaint are the rats. Worst enemies in AC history.
Would u make an updated video on best runes for armor?
As soon as I got to the Melun gates character I was following on horse got off and became absolutely unresponsive to the mission:/ I hope this gets fixed🤞 and that not many people run into the same problem tomorrow
Been playing the dlc for about 15 min and I can hardly tell the difference between Ireland and Paris(land scape whole traveling) it’s actually disappointing
I dissagree imo paris is a fun mystery filled journey then again im 13
Jor whats best set up for your vikings to raid
Only two armour sets in the biggest dlc? That's pathetic
Its not the biggest we got 2 more dlcs coming minimum 2
@@stealthmaster1045 only one more and it's the Norse mythology one
@@ddddavyy8383 they've only announced one more but there will be more. It's a whole new year of contentv
@@reececowell6642 how do you know that?
@@ddddavyy8383 because that's what they said, another year of content. Biggest amount of content, not biggest DLC pack. A whole new year won't be one DLC. It will be two at least. First year was this and wrath of the druids.
... the short sword at 4:06, i want it ! where do you get it ? nice vid btw, liked !
Does someone know where you can change your hair and tattoos when in Francia ? 😅
I heard there were assassin's in this dlc (they're called something else). Are they seen alot in this dlc?
The bellatorres dei or something like that. I read in a review they're there and have a very solid role but the whole dlc is pretty much short lived.
Yes I played it, there's a bureau where you collect a weapon, it's way better than the wrath of druids
@@cyrusmufc2914 are there assassin's in the bureau?
@@Agent_3141 I don’t believe you see or meet any new “hidden ones” assassins like basim or hytham if that’s what you’re asking.
@@revelation9125 So the bellatorres Dei aren't in the bureau?
Why does the dash asorb alot of stamina in this game??? When Eivor gets puffed out... he sounds like hes having a heart attack. Plus what else pisses me off is when he gets stuck on the ledges and running along the walls.
Anyone else having issues getting the doc to prompt? I can’t get it to activate.
What skill did he get where his health bar looks like that I want it
6:33 Which tattoo??
Can you use the harpoon to pull the cavalry soldiers from their horses?
ouuu good question, gotta try that out.
Didn’t work for me. It stunned them but didn’t pull them down. They just flopped around for a bit on the horse then started fighting again.
No spoiler needed for the mythical creature, it’s in the achievements 😁. Helpful vid tho. Go team raptor
They should put new mentors cloak without the shoulder armor
Anyone know what time it drops in the US?
Now
Where is Rollo?
I've finished the DLC, how can I get into the island of Paris after the battle, seems there is no way?
Bro, i have no pants option in the blacksmith. Was trying to enchance the Reaper pants when i noticed the section was missing. Anyone else have this issue?
Is their new order menu
Does anyone know if/where you can change your tattoos in France?
I need some help i bought the dlc and cant get to Paris
WTH Is Map Size?
Damn, more than 12000 signed up for the raffle, i think i gonna pass, too little chances to win.... great video btw :D
Kinda worried about the only 2 new armour sets. Hopefully the new scythes and swords will make up for it with good abilites.
Technically it's 3 (Paladin, reaper, and purple one) and a half if you include the new cloak
Have they said when we might get a new game plus?
what’s the armor in the thumbnail?
I'm having an issue where when I load in the alert of the DLC isn't showing up and I've already completed the game what should I do?
I haven't been able to start it either I didn't even get the note ??? I finished the main story months ago I bought the season pass months ago what to do ???
@@dejonnewallace5379 try going to the store while in the main menu of the game and go to add ons see if you have to download it
@Dread Walker thanks yeah I gotta install it But I think it should have automaticly did it with the Season pass
I'm trapping off my Mobil hotspot this shit gonna take till tomorrow 🤣🤣🤣
Also, I’m very excited for the new dlc!
How is Asgard the best arc outside of the campaign, next to TWO whole ass dlcs
I was hoping it would have some cool landscape or something, doesn’t look any different than normal:-/ also how do you get that big hook weapon I want her
big hook weapon
@JorRaptor. Please help, please advise if you can no longer Enhance Trousers at the blacksmith? I went to all the blacksmiths and I want to enhance the reaper pants and Trousers do not appear. Is anyone else having this issue? Im playing on PC. Thanks
Power 501(The Cavalier)? ... wow
I wish we could actually fight from horse back
Naw bruh, that map looks tiny homie!😂🤣
Tiny but filled to the top with loot and activitis they could have made one like ireland where its big but barely has anything
@@stealthmaster1045 looting 400 chests is super enthralling gameplay especially when gear means nothing in this game
@@jar444 exactly, and only 2 raids.. Come on.. "ThErE iS a RiVeR rAiD uPdAtE cOmInG"..... Yeah the free update not on the season pass..
This dlc was supposed to be THE One to wait for.. With "highly replay able content" you mean the spamming the resistance missions.. Pfft.. I hate any type of hype, nothing is true, everything is underwhelming..
Do we get an a assassin outfit in the game and do we join the hidden ones/assassin's
Nope
None of that happens
this isn’t ac mate
Jorr, how do I know if I entered the contest correctly?
only 2 armor sets is dissapointing.
Overall it's way better than wrath of druids, my advice once finished with the dlc just wait for another DLC to drop, this game is dead.
Let’s hope the new update/DLC won’t bring any new bugs and glitches to the game….
That’s like me hoping I’d find a gf tomorrow.
Unrealistic.
There's obviously gonna be new bugs and glitches with this update, it's a given
Can't play the dlc because my saves become corrupt as soon as you're about to meet sigfrid(?) soooo yeah theres a few gamebreaking bugs lol
