honestly, i wouldnt hate a lord of the rings wes anderson film, simply because it would be something unique enough that it can stand on its own ground
The amazing thing about this is that it taps into a whole much more eldritch and otherworldly tradition of LotR art that existed for decades before the films came out and put their stamp on all the characters. Some of the cast look exactly like they sprang out of old fan art from the 1970s.
The images are so crisp that they could've only came from the airbrush of Ted Nasmith

The Academy Awards wouldn’t award the movie anything if it didn’t have diversity ,gay and transgender couples so they would have to woke it out completely. The shot of the volcano was strangely perfect.
I'm impressed how great that was, uncanny valley a fair bit (naturally), but not to the point it spoilt the delivery. I'd watch it..and probably like it.
