Just don't try to fix it by eating or sitting on your devices all day, trust me it will make you feel worse (I know, I sound like a boomer saying that, but it's true for me atleast) -(For anyone who is just starting to get it) If you have ANY questions about what's happening, ask another female you trust. -(Another one for anyone starting out) Everyone is different, what your friends do might not work for you. -If you want to prevent an awkward situation, you can make up a "period code" for you and your friends to use if you forget products at home. Like if you forget to pack pads, ask your friend "Its shark week, do you have a floatie?". -Salt makes cramps worse, so try to keep away from salty foods until your not on your period. -If your at home and cramps won't go away, grab a pillow (the puffier the better) and lay on your stomach with the pillow under your abdomen. I think this promotes bloodflow, so make sure you have on something that will soak up the blood to prevent a mess. -Think of your period as a good thing! Hope these help, and make your period more bearable!
I would only like to add, it is not normal to have extreme pain during period that makes you disfunctional. If that is a case, consult a doctor and get checked for endometriosus.
It is true, periods can be a little annoying at times. But what can be more annoying is the skin irritation that periods can sometimes cause.
