@@livinglife5295 I agree! Elina not only saved Mermaidia AND her kingdom but she was happy for Nori when Naru confessed to her. That was so cute! Also, Bibble helped to defeat the villains... the pink dolphin didn't do that. Yes she showed the mermaid kingdom to Merlia and told infos about her past but beside that, the dolphin didn't do much. The animal was more like a NPC than a proactive side character. She's cute but not very brave 🤨

Indeed that’s why Mermaid Tale is one of my favourite Barbie movies even though I don’t like modern time period or Malibu Barbie movies.

I've never seen this movie before and I literally gasped in shock at that lol. Like it's not even a "haha this is a goofy kid's movie" thing but them sneaking in a brief foot fetish moment in this BARBIE movie of all places. They dedicated too much attention, animation, and dialogue for it to not be. And the licking. Of course the core audience will thankfully never notice and apparently neither did the distributors, but... dude... why
@@washedblue There’s a lot of kids show that hides (very poorly let’s be honest) various fetishes. Kids don’t really realize it but when you look at them through adults eyes it’s so obvious. One that comes to mind is Totally Spies, a show I loved to watch as a kid! I watched a few episodes recently and there’s bondage, mummification, school girl outfits, foot fetish, and a lot more. it’s like a PG version of it.. There’s a whole treat about it on reddit (I did a quick google search, Typed in “Totally Spies fetish controversy” if you wanted to check it out) it’s pretty wild 💀

This movie is ok. The animation is ok, the songs are catchy, the mermaid queen is kind and her situation is sad; she was in a prison and couldn't escape, alone and forced to make magic for her sister. That's horrible! Merlia have a good evolution. She started with '' I don't care about the mermaids and want a normal life! '' to '' I'll do anything to save the mermaids and my mother. '' This was very cute 🥰I loved the montage when she found a disguise; all the tails and costumes were pretty especially the last one.
Only the kids who had the interactive dvd for this movie with the extra dance video class for the Queen of the Waves watched this movie correctly
