This is the FIRST video for the chipper that shows someone chipping with branches on and not fully bucked. Thanks this really helps me make my decision on this chipper!
Thanks for stopping by GP. You can't beat a chipper. And the best thing about a tractor is, there's an implement for just about any task you need to do. Cheers. 🍺
In my opinion, this was one of your best videos, Dale. It was fascinating what that chipper can do. Still pretty dry here. This part of the state needs a good soaking rain. Summer seems to be flying by. The leaves will be turning color VERY soon.
Loved watching it devour that whole tree. I thought sure the leaves and twigs would clog the hopper, but it sucked the whole thing right through. I just bought a small tractor and am researching PTO driven chippers. Thanks!
Nice video about chipping the brush rather then burning it. The chips can have so much environmental value as opposed to just a burn pile. And I agree that it often actually takes less time to chip it than it does to manage the burn piles, and is safer too. Stay safe and enjoy your outdoors.
Hey, Dale... Was glad to see a new episode, here. Was really enjoying the wood chipping, then when you finished up with the whole tree "Just for fun," lol... good stuff! Thanks, always enjoy seeing how your keeping these days. Hey, falls just around the corner now, too!
Kioti Orange , my favorite color ! Great to see you again , even though you did most of the work , and we didn't get to have a beer with you . It was still a cool video . Boy , that chipper sure makes short work of that tree , didn't it ? Sending covid-free hugs .
Hi Dale. I have to say that your walkthroughs and explanations of the different equipment you use at your cabin are so informative. During the video I had all kinds of questions come to mind and by the end of the video you had answered every one of them. Just the best. You make whatever you are working with easy to understand. That’s something too! I can be a real knucklehead with some things! Thanks for all that you do!
I don't have the humidity here in Colorado but we're in extreme drought throught the state.Mid 90's everyday, bad air alerts everyday and now made worse by the numerous wildfires burning out of control. I expected a BBQ Pitboys burger, saw a new one yesterday. Keep chipping away my friend haha
Up at my cabin as we speak. Had a great fish fry tonight. Four white perch from the the lake to the pan in less that 2 hours! Thats fresh fish! Dale I’d love for you to do a pre deer season video and when the season rolls in do a whole segment on deer hunting etc.
Great to see you again. 👋 yes hot & humid summer in New England. Today--Sunday in Providence,RI 🇺🇸65°F & rainy...but we need it. Stay Safe & remember Bacon & Beer 🍺 👍 👌😎
keep a battery powered blower when cleaning the chipper or simply a floor cleaning brush. also make some lemon/lime with ginger and mint ade with you in a bottle on the go...it will hydrate and detox your body when you need it. recipy preparation: cut 2 ginger slices cut the lemon/lime into single pieces (full lemon/lime) cut 6 leaves of mint 1 jug of water mixing: put all in the jug/jar and leave in a cool dry place.. for 12hrs.. when you see the water get murky.. then drink.. if you want more.. simply refill the jug/jar with water and drink after 3hrs.. at this time all the ingredients will be on the mushy side..easy to break. (don't add salt or sugar) The Chipper is a great tool and helper.. in upper Northern Pakistan.. people use wood chips (they don't own chippers..too poor..but get it from a wood mill)...for insulation in their home roofs for winter.
yes Dale a great Canadian made chipper i have the same one try a chain saw wrench instead of a adjustable wrench they fit the bolt perfect and no slipping nice video man
So is it better to let branches and brush dry before running it three thenchipper? I just got one, haven’t used it yet, trimmed the trees 3 days ago…oak branches and brush, some dead mostly live/fresh…
After watching you with your chipper and GP with his, I'm going to have to dig my Patu DC65 out and see if I can get it sorted out. It was clogging way too much but I suppose it could have been some of the material too... Pine / pine needles = no bueno for sure. Maybe I'll get the blades sharpened and open up part of the chute. The chute on the Patu is pretty long and I think contributes to the problem. Summer's waning though & Sept - Dec = hunting. So I probably won't get to it until Spring at this point.
Pine and spruce is a sure way to clog a chipper unless they've completely dried out. Learned that lesson. Then the inside of the chute was completely covered in sticky sap and then everything jammed..lol. No moose tag for me this year.
@@NB88 Bummer on the moose tag! We just put in for points this year. My puppy has a test in September and there would be just too much going on to deal with a moose hunt so we didn't even bother try. Still have a little of the one we got 3 yrs ago. Plus we're pretty much guaranteed a couple deer down here (Kennebec County + Land Owner). Had a nice 8 pointer on cam at the end of THF VLog #15 or #14.

Hi Dale,..Happy to see you back!....That wood chipper is cool brother!.... If you could get another piece of equipment.... What would it be?.....Tks for all your videos...I know it can be hard on you sometime!.
I was saying to a guy the other day, I would love to have a backhoe for the tractor. But they are some serious coin so not in the budget right now. Fortunately I have a buddy who has one on his tractor and he said I could borrow it anytime I needed it.
Dale, I live in your neck of the woods, could you share who you had sharpen your chipper blades, mine are almost due, and other than the guy that sharpens knifes at the market downtown, I don’t know of anyone who sharpens tools...thanks Ian
They need to be precision sharpened or you'll be out of balance and that is hard on the chipper. Try Mathieu Saw & Tool in Lewiston. You can ship them down if you don't want to make that drive.
Don't forget about firewood! Soon it will be cooling off, I'd split a shitload of wood and have it ready to go. With another set of hands, you could really clean up the property. Ever think about sending up the drone to show us your property? I'd like to get a better of idea of what is around you.. Bottoms up to a PBR!!!!!
Wallenstein fyi is made in Canada Actually I believe in Cambridge, Ontario It is or at least was not sure now a Family owned and run buisness Glad you like it
NB88 Thats something. I live in the mountains of NW Pennsylvania and they say there’s no cats here but people see them from time to time. That’s pretty cool you’ve seen them by your cabin! Stay safe up there and keep the videos coming. I love what you do and always look forward to more.

I’m a big fan of your channel, I know it’s none of my business but I’m just curious about your line of employment. I always wondered if you we’re an environmental policeman? You have a strong knowledge of the woods.
@august China is a disaster. It's their fault we're in this current mess...🖕 China. @Peewee.31 Very well made in Canada. I think that company was started by a Mennonite family, they don't cut any corners. Anyway, high quality stuff. 👍
I don’t think storing that uncovered is a good idea. I’m keeping mine dry. Just a tarp over it will make a huge difference in how long it lasts. Chipping is so much better for your property than burning. The chips put biomass in the soil and they work great to stop erosion on slopes. Lay a decent size log across the slope and pile chips behind it. Also, keep piles of chips in a shady area that catches some runoff, add nitrogen every 6 months and in a few years you’ll have rich soil to add to your garden. I like to let my branches lay for a few months or a year before chipping and it goes through like hot butter.
@@NB88 I guess you have no choice but to deal with it. Regardless, I enjoy your videos. Take care and keep them coming. Way better than the crap on TV.

Wallenstein BX 42 - ROCKS
All we need is the Tractor 🚜
Excellent demo . Hard working man .
Greetings from Ireland
That is a nice chipper. You look tried, now go have a cold one! Thanks for posting.
Doing the whole tree was very dramatic and shows the true capabilities of this machine!
LOL! That was great Dale! The whole tree! Love having a chipper. A great attachment for the tractor to have for the property for sure. Cheers!

Using the proper safety gear (forestry helmet, gloved, etc. is great
My chipper is a Woodmaxx-8H... love it! So do my neighbors!!
That is a very useful implement. I think Wallenstein should sponsor you! 👍
Pretty awesome watching that entire tree in to splinters
Leaves stuck in a chute I guess that`s where the ole saying aw-chute comes from. Fun video to watch. Thank you
Better than 'up the chute' :-)

Thanks Dale, that is the perfect tool to get rid of unsightly brush piles, and quicker too!
Awesome show, I have the BXH 42 4” chipper on my skidsteer, and like you said, the chipper is the one tool that you can never go wrong buying. 👍
Great to see you Dale. Keep up the good work and stay cool. :)
Wow, that is a crazy powerful chipper. Super impressive man!
Great piece of Equipment!
Amazing!
Nice chipper, I bet those chips would be great compost too. That machine sure handled a large branch, awesome. 👍
I don't want to buy anything made in China either. Just got a new phone to film with, not made in China either. 😊

Very nice bro. I wish I had a chipper like that. But first I need to get a tractor like that. I think in two or three years I'll have one.

Do you have any idea what your tractor horsepower is at the PTO to drive this wood chipper?
