Thank you Samantha…thank you for highlighting the stories of the African-American community who built not just Asheville, but indeed the South 🙏🏼
I appreciate that! We try to focus on all stories, especially those not normally told.
Watched you on travel channel in my 20s, loved your show! Twenty years later you still look fabulous!!
@@happywhite7547 thank you!!
Same!
14 years to Asheville. We love that area.
My mom introduced me to your travel videos. You have such a wonderful personality. We just love the work you do. We all love Samantha Brown!!!
@@christ3824 thanks to all of you!
I live in Asheville. Thank you for your support. We will be there again.
You thought this was support? Feeling like shes showing everything we lost and rubbing it in our faces.
Always great reviews from you, interesting, no fluff and fun. Thank you for keeping it fun 👍
@@randyfolkner9496 thanks!
I have been to Asheville over a decade ago. I loved it!❤
It's a beautiful place with amazing people!
Tickled PINK to see you again!! I looked forward to your shows since you first started and we were SO YOUNG!! You did a program on Christmas at a Disney resort. I was watching it on a wet dreary Sunday afternoon. We’d just moved from Greenville, SC to Orlando. I was loving what I was watching when it hit me!! I LIVE IN ORLANDO! So we loaded up the car and went to see with our own eyes what you showed on tv. Man…THAT WAS FUN!!! We made a point of doing that every year! So with all my heart, WELCOME BACK, Samantha!
Oh I just watched your Charleston and Ashville shows. I’m back in Greenville. Lol.
So glad you found me again! Thank you for sharing that story!!
@@RealSamanthaBrown 😊
Samantha, congratulations my divine star
thanks!
It's on the travel list.
You won't regret it!
Grew up not far from there. We use to have season passes there. Christmas time is really cool to see there.
@@adamh9271 would love to see that one day
@ just realized I used “there” three times lol. Sounds silly re-reading it.
Another great video! 👌
Happy New Year, Samantha 🥳
Thanks so much! Happy New Year to you too!
Very educational video i love this I'm hooked.
Thanks!!
Who's been to Asheville?
i've considered moving there after many years in spain and hawaii
there is a wonderful gay bar in Asheville that I'd totally visit again
I have. ❤ Asheville
I am native I still live here
Native North Carolinian, been several times. May not be the place to visit at the moment. Asheville is almost destroyed from Hurricane Helene. The damage is faaaaar worse than MSM says. Thousands are dead, many more homeless and sleeping outside jn the cold because everything they owned washed away as they watched. About 20% of our beautiful state has been damaged or destroyed. If you come, you'll be welcome, but be prepared for what you get. Much of our mountains look like a Stephen King horror movie set. Also, many roads are gone, so detours will take more time to get to your destination.
Been to the Asheville area many times. Always love visiting!! Look forward to my next trip there!!
Love seeing/learning new things about the area!
Sure...come now...we could use the help.
I love Asheville. Would love to move there at some point.
Amazing. Just subscribed. WOW.
Thanks for subscribing!
Im native in asheville and ive seen many changes to asheville the 50 years ive been alive
Ohhh that singer! Who is she, please? It's love to hear more
wow and zamzam water
Wished I could of stopped in Asheville. If I had known about the gardens around the Biltmore i would have tried to talk my mom into walking around those paths alas my nieces were a bit young and the car ride long. Oh well😏
They're beautiful! Hopefully they can recoup and keep them thriving after all this devastation.
Sorry for all the trouble and storm damage in Ashville 2024
I'm a native and I have always thought the grounds of Biltmore were much more interesting than the Big House. I've seen a lot of change in AVL, unfortunately I avoid downtown as it has become too touristy
Grove Park Inn 😇❤️😇
I use to watch your program, then think you were selling traveling items? Where is your program now? I have COX, many others
@@FNPMSN on PBS and here on UA-cam with episodes being posted every week!
@RealSamanthaBrown Thanks for responding! I will subscribe & find & set reminders for your PBS.
I used to go practically every weekend. A lot of my favorite spots were destroyed.
It's just heartbreaking....
Interested how the Indian food chef / restaurant owner brought up the “issue” with spice / spicy food in the U.S. I know A LOT of people in rural areas of Montana, Idaho, Washington, and Oregon……….and ALL of these Americans will NOT eat spicy food!!! None of them!! I find this VERY weird, as these people only eat bland, boring food / highly processed food / fast food…….and very few vegetables. It seems to be an epidemic in the U.S.!! (Not a problem in the cities, luckily). What gives?!?
I'm native to asheville I'm 50 and honey we grew our own food here growing up nothing bland about our homegrown cooking. We had vegetables every meal so natives love spice and heat we grew peppers etc
@ That’s WONDERFUL!!! ……can I get you to talk to about 75 people in Butte, Montana?!? 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
Every Mexican restaurant is toned down and bland.
@eddieg6436 The subject was rural communities. Although I didn't say I was talking about western North Carolina.
