At 03:30, there is a screw holding the charging port, please remove it. Seems it is missing from the device we have repaired. Thanks, @E.R.videography, for pointing out the mistake.
My 8yr old son has this phone and cracked it a while back i watched this and decided to fix instead of throwing it away and getting a new one. Saved me some money and now my son is happy. Thanks a bunch!!!!!!
Thank you very much. I was able to fix my phone at a price a lot less than what it would have cost me at a phone repair shop. Your instructions were easy to follow. Again thanks.
thanks, great vid, followed it through, phone now working. I found both pcb's were screwed down with 1 little black crosshead screw each, and the frame had 16 chrome screws in total. it needed a bit more heat than I guessed at.
hello thanks for this video - if possible i ask you is there a difference in quality between lcd screen on its own & the 1 with frame i meant does the 1 which comes with a frame more like the original factory screen with that thick original glass ?
A great guide. Unfortunately, when I removed the power/fingerprint cable, the actual connector attached to the logic board came off. I was very gentle and felt no resistance, but when reassembling I realized what had happened.
Good guide. I had two additional screws holding on the boards, aside from that it went pretty smoothly. First one of these for me but seems to have worked. At the rubber band stage now.
Hi @diygeardo, I managed to change the screen but now they sound on the phone is gone, can hear ring tone. When I increase the volume it shows headphones icon. What do you think is damaged while I was swapping the screen?
can you help me identify 2 phones please. 1 was bought as an A12 and the other looks identical to this one you are working with but the sim card holder is different
I followed this tutorial and my volume buttons got pushed inside the case when I put it back together, I was able to pry them back out but after pressing them 2 or 3 times they go right back down, do you know what I should do?
I followed the directions by every step, the screen is functioning, but I have no sound anywhere. I have checked all connections, do not disturb is turned off...what am I missing?
Can somebody please tell me Where they bought their screen replacement I tried to buy 1 of amazon but it didn't come with the home screen Or the power button Connection And there was also what I thought was the head speaker that wasn't on it was a key empty empty frame I just need to know where it can find a full replacement screen that I don't have to swap out parts
If you just got only the screen. Open the device from rear side and then do the steps up to 3.30 and then heat the screen from front side and take out the broken screen. You can follow our a51 screen replacement guide for the removal process.Afterwards, clean the frame and install the new screen. Make sure you apply proper adhesive.otherwise after sometime screen will pop out
@@DIYGeardo there is another screw on the top logic board by the finger print connector.

I just have to say, that is much more glue in these phones nowadays than it should. It just makes me so angry, that you can't even grab the back of your phone whenever you want, then the CHARGER BOARD is glued, and the BATTERY IS GLUED... wth, like they can move if that fkin backplate is GLUED....

To anyone without a heat gun, I managed to open the back at room temperature (16°) with a very small screwdriver.
Great. Thanks for sharing
Are use the heat gun for my dad’s garage it gets so hot it turns some metals red, and I’m trying to straighten out the back cover and now it’s melting
Worked like a charm. Thank you so much!!!
Glad it helped!

03:15 volume button is on the frame. You need to open and check the frame.Probably something is loose, or maybe dislocate or maybe damaged.
The links for the heat gun, tools, etc, don't work.

Beautiful mehn
Thanks
nice video but using a heat gun and a metal tool to pry out the battery? not sure about that one, chief
In a gentle way it is always fine. DO not use the heat gun if your battery is swollen.otherwise it is fine.
thank you thank you thank you!!!

You missed an important step. There is screw holding the logic board at the bottom. You gotta remove it or you break it.
Thanks for your feedback.Seems like the device we repaired was missing the screwdriver. Thanks for pointing out.
