The figures on the side of the battery pack appear to be the range of values of the cells: 1. Individual cell voltage range at 50% charge 2. Range of internal resistance 3. Range of cell capacity. Multiplying the nominal cell voltage by the number of cells and the capacity average is very close to 2000Wh.
Good observation. That Ah range is a little wide and so is the mΩ but what can you expect from a budget priced power station. My guess is these are 33140/32131/33131 or something similar based on capacity. Those are usually 12-15Ah.
Hi David I have an Oukitel P2000 it looks similar to this unit so I am taking a bit of a flier here. On the AC input side it has an overload protection button. It feels quite loose. Anyway my normal plug output and USB ports work when there is power coming into the unit, however when no power comes into the unit, only the USB and 12 V outputs discharge the battery. The normal plug outputs power up for a few seconds when the botton is depressed but after 1/2 seconds it stops and alarm sounds. Do you have any solutions for this for me.
Hello David, thank you for making this video! I bought one of these just days ago and I have some concerns about quiescent power consumption. Does yours get warm to the touch around the top/rear of the unit (near where the 12V regulator board is) with the 12V outputs turned on even with no load? Mine does...
hey please help me. im desperate at this point. could I use this powerstation or ideally aferiy p210 in my camper and charge it with solar and alternator(car battery) at the same time? please any info would help me out
What would have been great is if you popped one of those loose connectors off and tried to operate it just to confirm that the device alerts you to the issue or just tries to operate as normal.
Not this unit in particular but in another power station I forgot to plug something in and the heater carried on as normal. Apart from the bit I didn't plug in obviously.
I wonder is there any way to turn off supercharge mode, just for save battery recourse. I`ve also discovered that pressing any two buttons show some kind of service info, and when you press any three buttons - the screen will turn on all marks it has, and there you can see that such display can be used on powerstations with BT and wi-fi....or maybe there are some hidden features))

To be fair my 5G modem takes 12V 3Ainput, so yeh. Like it doesn't use 36W, it's like ~10W or there abouts, but the adapter that came with it is 12V 3A.
Blinky blue lights are just the inverter controller boards, presumably they use the LEDs for diagnosing issues or something, or they just stuck on some blinkies to look fancier than they actually are, cos blue blinkies always look high-tech and futuristic in TV & movies... :P
A pet hate of mine. Unnecessarily bright (usually blue) LEDs on things that will likely be in a dark environment. Like the 12V charger for my jump pack, a blue LED so bright it could light up the interior of the truck.
@@DavidMcLuckie Yeah, I've taped over or stuck blu-tack over many a blue LED on things, given these days they're so bright that like you say can light up a space, quite annoying... :S
Just because you haven't heard of this company and never used this power station, it doesn't mean they're unreliable. Equally, companies who use a lot of social media and spend a lot of time and money on marketing doesn't mean they're more reliable.
Eco flow are made in China and head quarters in China.. the main difference is marketing.. you are obviously influence by social media and have not used other decent power stations.. they're nearly all made in China, including eco flow
It doesnt really matter which brand you pick, you only choose aesthetics and customer service really. All brands of these power stations are made by a handful of manufacturer in china, most of the brands come from the same factory. This unit is made by SYD, who also make Bluetti products amongst others
I'd be concerned about the loose terminals & missing earth lead to the 13amp sockets. Your average buyer isn't going to disassemble it to check, so things could go wrong.
Scuse my ignorance - why can't you be shocked by touching live on the mains output on this? Surely the current tries to get to ground, thru your body, resulting in bzzzzt ?
Because there is no referance to the actual physical ground. In your home wiring, it is referanced to the ground so the current from live passes through you, using the pysical earth as the return path. In an isolated system like this, you would need to touch the neutral as well as the live to get a shock. One of the reasons they may not connect the ground on the output is so that it is not referanced to the actual ground through the mains input plug.
@@DavidMcLuckie I wonder because the one I got has a liquid in it. I was told not to breathe the gases that put out the fire. All those battery backups are for the fridge to keep the beer cold.

Those resistors running that hot is definitely a problem! If the resistors don't fail, the solder joints probably will.
Should it fail they would be the first thing I'd check.
Interesting video . How long does it take to charge by the mains and solar ?

That is something I'll need to look at. Perhaps with thermal imaging. :)

HI David, I had one of these, sent it back as capacity was crap. Nice to see the insides!
I did a capacity test and got within 10% of the stated value which I thought wasn't too bad.

When you hold button over the plugs on the right side for several seconds, you open the settings of charging speed

Rather the long term reliability of ecoflow, than a little known Chinese power station, that comes with many different names
