This was a beautiful series on St. John’s poem! I have read it and his commentary before but without a true appreciation of it. Fr. Kieran’s Study Edition and this series have helped me uncover the treasure of riches it holds. I enjoy every CarmelCast series, and I look forward to the next one. St John’s poem captivates with its beauty and as a work of art evokes many emotions in our hearts. It makes me crave that mysterious wound of love, with the strange desire that it would never be healed.
It is surprising how many meanings are hidden in four short stanzas.
Thank you CarmelCast for such excellent teamwork in helping us to understand better the hidden treasures of John of the Cross composition. May the Lord bless you all and help you to create many more inspiring programs that will give us the opportunity to discover Carmelite spirituality.

This is my first series of CarmelCast and I just have to say how much I loved it. Seven incredibly helpful videos for understanding and applying The Living Flame of Love. Next week I'm going to start the series over again because I'm sure I missed a lot the first time through. I am very pleased with the study guide book, and each episode of CarmelCast helped me understand more fully what I read in preparation. I was so intimidated by starting with this book, but that was explained too, and now I know it was the perfect choice.

I have to make one more comment. I could not be more excited that the fall series will be on St Elizabeth of Trinity. I "met" Elizabeth of the Trinity back in December, and she has changed my life. If I had to pick a desert island book, it would be the book of her Letters from Carmel, published by ICS. My wife and I will be going through RCIA in the fall, and for me, Sabeth is the reason. I'm just hoping for news someday that Volume Three of The Complete Works is being published in English.
