Did you use 50 cent paint because I'm repainting a mattel raptor with the cheap paint. And pin me or the paint and detail aill call off!

Which paint? I've been using cheap dollar store acrylics...$2 Canadian for 10 x 12ml tubes...and they work really really well on any of the softer dinosaur figures. I noticed some of the better acrylics I have will chip if I accidentally knock a dino from a shelf or something. These cheap "crap" paints seem more plastic-y...even if I use them over top of regular acrylics it almost seals the whole thing to be chip resistant. Also...can use boiling water to adjust painted figures...when I use some acrylics the paint will bubble and ball up if I hit it with any boiling water. Anyway...rambling so l'll just say thanks again for all the vids, still inspiring me to paint dino figures too.
I use a lot of the cheap Apple Barrel acrylics, and a few other brands that are basically the same thing! We're probably using the same stuff, haha. As far as the boiling water thing, I only use boiling water to readjust body parts and stuff before I apply my paint, I've never tried it afterwards. Thank you very much! @@andysdinosaurreviews hey does the paint come off and crack? Someone told me not to use the cheap paint because with his if you scratch it the paint comes off and over 1 week it's cracks.
That's not true at all. As long as you spray it after you're done painting it with dullcote, it'll save your paint job. Now if you go around banging it off of stuff, no matter what paint you use it'll chip with a good smack off of something, but you should be completely fine after you dullcote it if you're careful not to beat it up, haha!

Looks amazing! I absolutely love the balled of Big Al and this repaint sure did it justice. The only thing that I would've changed was to make some of the scars whitish or a lighter color, to show that they have scarred over

I loved this documentary when I was a kid, when I rewatched it, my opinion hasn't changed from my past thoughts. Gotta love my all-time favorite Allosaurus.

Been wanting to repaint this one for a while, just can’t think of a scheme. Maybe just wing it and see what comes out unless I can find something I like.
this Allosaurus looks Awesome it fits very Well to him with the tiny Scars and wounds and it looks more realistic than in the Documentary

This has to be one of the best repaints I've seen from your channel. Love the fade if the red crest to the blue. Just wished that the pictures had some more life. Maybe the allo hunting a stegosaurus. Things like that that make the picture feel more natural.

Thanks for the option the other option I wasn't sure that you can do or not is customize another one based on the tyrannosaurus rex that paleoartist zhao chuang of pnso did for the American museum of natural history new York City's new tyrannosaurus rex exhibit that came out this year called t.rex the ultimate predator if you have heard of it
I definitely know the sculptor so I'm sure it would be easy to find. I'm pretty sure I have seen it before but I'm not 100% positive. And I have never really customize too many things, but I'm certainly not opposed to trying as I think it is quite fun. I'll give it a look and see if I think I can figure it out. Thank you very much for the ideas and suggestions!
