Wow that burning sensation, feeling of the leg buckling during first few steps of running then pain disappears but only to reappear after I’ve stopped running. Feels like bone pain but it’s not - I can replicate the pain when self-massaging or foam rolling. Guess I need rehab and a few weeks away from training.

@@jackwilliam7775 I had another aspiration last Tuesday with a view to have the cyst surgically removed if it should return, my consultant sees me again in February. Knee moves beautifully once that thick fluid was removed.

I´ve learned that Medial Tibial Stress Syndrome could be secondary to excessive inversion of the foot right before the foot strike while running, thus leading to a high impact force on the distal part of the tibia. The possible mechanism is that foot goes from inversion before the strike to excessive eversion resulting in a high load of bending and stretching forces on distal and medial 1/3 of shin.
A possible treatment could be pain control and an improvement of the running technique by educating and by checking the flexibility of the anterior chain muscle to which tibialis anterior belongs and may cause an excessive inversion.

Yep it tends to happen when the foot doesn't externally rotate enough. This is usually due to poor gluteal and hamstring function that should be pulling the femur into external rotation. For me my left glute is not as reactive as my right and doesn't follow through with full contraction in my stride so I have to cue this. Get on a curve treadmill and film yourself in slowmo.

Among peroneal area, cuboid syndrome and medial tib... I have a little bump below my fibula ...more to tarsals. And when I knock with my finger it sounds like.a bone. Healthy foot has no sound. Sprain was 10 or more y ago. Medial pain acts like a resonant( adding )battery. When pain is high enough pitch simply let leg drop and fall ..from hip. Another thing.. generally that leg is like someone pulling tendons "laterally ..peroneally" and left it for me to walk, run etc.
Case of my foot... my left portion of a heel dig into the left part of a shoe. When the weather is changing that medial part and peroneal part are cold. Channelopathy like.
Idk what else?! I started to take the lion's mane. I am a little more relaxed. But sometimes the back of heel around Achilles feels like breaking. Chiropractor said that the bump on my foot is a tendon and that I have a healthy foot. But he had no explanation of my stiff calf, hamstrings and related problems with leg relaxation during the run. There are many cases when there is no injury or blood vessel of nerve but pain , call it phantom remains. That goes as far that neuropsychiatrist offer drugs. which is just dumb and crazy. My body says plainly it is axyasymmetry in foot. But that needs confirmation from an orthopaedic or some other physiatrist or podiatrist .
I also have a small bursitis ring. Which impared with all this above attack arch sometimes and left part of heel.

So there's no proven cure? Ever since I've been training seriously which consists of running and jumping by shin splints have gotten so bad i can't even jump any more i can only run. Also if i touch my splints on anything like a chair or a desk accidently i get really bad pain. Since my workouts are 2 hours daily im thinking of only doing half. But i don't know if it will go away, is it maybe because i just started training seriously too fast for the first time in my life? Do i have to apply ice or cold water or streches that will help me?
