In this Rig Rundown, Brent talks about his vintage Fender silverface combo and Marshall JMP heads. Also, he talks about his love for Gibson Les Pauls and his newly acquired Electrical Guitar Company's lucite V.
Bill Kelliher talks to us about his vintage vintage Explorers and Silverbursts and trying to incorporate his First Act 9-string into the live set a little more. In addition, he talks about his two Marshall heads (JMC 800 reissue and Kerry King Signature), Marshall and Mills Acoustic Cabs and his love for the new Morpheus Droptune Polyphonic Pitch Drop and Octave pedal.

Had dinner and some beers with these guys after a show in Lubbock Tx years back,class act all of them they are some of the coolest down to earth peeps you could meet

What I love about these guys is that they're old school and new school, depending on the situation. Use what's proven and what works, yet not afraid to stick a new pedal in the board or play a First Act guitar on stage. badass.
They both seem like really nice, down to earth guys

alot of musicians use Kerry King Marshall Heads are they that good? i hear even Angus from Acdc uses them
Guys, you know that they play First Act Customshop guitars and not that cheap rubbish? These custom guitars are not even close to the normal First Act guitars and sound pretty decent
Pretty decent? First Act's customs are very well built. Excellent guitars.

yeah first act has a really awesome custom shop which makes killer guitars and basses check out their website they make guitars for so many bands, i wish i could get one but they probably cost a ton
matt pike too high on fire uses them, and skeletonwitch had explorer type very light though..

Hello premierguitar! Could you guys try and catch up with KoRn and do a rig rundown of their stuff!? That would be sick! Oh and TOOL too! WHo else wants to see that!!??
I believe they're great for heavy gain, but for more greater range gain I would have to say all of the 5150 EVH is the best, it has a wider range of gains and it doesn't have a way to dry gain like the KK, plus a lot metal artist are using them, like Keith Merrow and Misha Mansoor (who recorded his last album with it). Anywho whatever you like man, if your loving the Mastodon sound, go for it.
I'm like Brent when it comes to my gear. My friends are like "bah bah bah bah (technical speak) and I'm like," If I press this button and turn this switch, it makes a different noise than usual and if I turn this knob, it gets louder!" I mean, I know some stuff, but I still got a lot to learn!

@superstriker00 I know it, I own three! Many people think that because they're bundled in a package and sold at wall-mart that they're cheap, starter guitars for children. The bottom of the line are just that, but their regular line and custom line will rival any major builder, like Ibanez, ESP or Eppiphone. They're just as expensive too!

What's with these guys and the first acts? I never really took that brand seriously. Maybe I'll check one out next time I see one at a pawn shop.
First Act has a custom shop that is MUCH higher quality. Not the stuff you'll typically find in a pawn shop/walmart.
Did they close the custom shop? I haven't heard anything from them in a long while

You guys just don't seem to realize with as much shit as First Act gets, they can make some pretty nice custom guitars. Bands like Mastodon wouldn't use them if they weren't up to snuff.
