Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer action/horror game where one player takes on the role of a brutal Killer and the other four play as Survivors. Guys, if you are wondering, this Vecna is in no way related to Stranger things. He was already a thing before 2022.
To go into more detail:
The name "Vecna" originates from the Original Dungeons & Dragons supplement "Eldritch Wizardry", released in 1976. In that book, the magical artifacts known as the Eye of Vecna and the Hand of Vecna were introduced. Vecna himself wasn't really a defined character yet, with the only details revealed about him there being that he was an evil lich that was destroyed a long time ago (save for his left hand and left eye), and that a vampire named Kas was once his bodyguard. The Advanced Dungeons & Dragons First Edition version of the Dungeon Master's Guide (released in 1979) had him become capable of threatening player characters via the Hand and Eye, but he was otherwise still mostly undefined.
Vecna's history was properly fleshed out in the AD&D Second Edition Dungeon Master's Guide (published in 1989), in its description of his Hand. A year later, the adventure "Vecna Lives!" finally made him a proper character that player characters could interact with, as he finally took center-stage as the adventure's main villain.

Yeah the lich, but the trailers show the killers by their actual names now not their in game select screen names. Same thing happened with Chucky, he's called The Good Guy but the trailer just called him Chucky at the end
All killers have a actual name and a name used in game, like Albert Wesker is The Mastermind, Chucky js The Good Guy, Pinhead is The Cenobite, Krueger is The Nightmare, etc. His name is Vecna, but The Lich is his title used in game

i would just like to say that the lich's bubble ability is absolutely absurd, you can hide in a locker and the ability is still able to get you like how is that even fair? aswell as its already a hard killer for most players to go against in general yall might want to nerf him.
What if their was a surivor perk that increases the chances of rolling a 20 like how theirs slippery meat and what if their was a killer perk that decreases the chances of the survivors of getting a 20 and they only roll like a 1-4
