Tear have the highest top cut representation and rikka winning a big event.. We are in a limbo
Literally lol
Thank you!
It's Europe. Rikka is the best deck in Europe, but only Europe
EU Rikka players are built different, any Rikka players outside Europe has a debuff
NA too busy smoking the plants to figure out how to play them.
No one can tell me that eu ycs arent the most hype
It feels like watching a real sport with good commentators
But nats for the tcg was hype last year
Just depends on commentators but this one was definitely a banger
@torito_da_cheeto9855 like the eu commentators also seemed hyped
If you what i mean
Like to billy and gerome there good
But i feel like they try and remain as professional as possible
Rikka's winning is becoming a seasonal tradition.
Would've hilarious is konami hit the twin and still win next year.
@@chrisb.2028 I still don't see it warranted for a hit. Due to super low representation. But I wouldn't be surprised if they get a short term hit just so we all know Konami acknowledges the deck. If anything from the deck, Dancepione and Benghalancer might have the target for a hit. They are heavily required for the board.
Its boring...
@@DirtCheapFUlmfao, Dancepione is the last card in the deck that would get hit, its literally just rng, if anything theyd Jasmine
And the opponent reading every card like seeing it for the first time 😂
vanquish souls 2nd place is still amazing !!
I was starting to think they fell off. Then I saw TCBOO and they spiced in Kashtira. Good looking deck, just the right amount of salt to hate it. Wincon; Make opp play your game. Which is their theme.
@@DirtCheapFU or run into TCBOO, also ez win con, but outside that, VS is a cool deck
They were on there first ycs and both came to finals...
Thats so good glad for both and both played their Best!
GG on both 👏
I hope he doesnt dwell on the Zeus misplay too hard. He took a dark horse deck all the way to the finals at his first YCS appearance.
He did an important misplay, he needs to learn that in case of monster like regulus, you have to remove the target before he uses his effect, not in chain
@@renamamiya6628 dont forget its his first ycs and then finals.... He was stressed i would say...
Rikka is such an underrated deck. It never has a ton of rep, but it has a habit of winning. Love this deck.
Its really strong for the mid range combo and the deck really depends on the pilot..
Joshua Schmidt in Shambles.
Europeans learning the Rikka matchup challenge impossible
bro image if used dd crow before therion eff in the first game 2:51
Rika winning is a canon event
There is no way the commentators got hyped at luka flipping there can be only one in game 2, what has yugioh become??
That's an upgrade compared to the past few years where the commentators would fall asleep at the sight of mystic mine instead
Even the crowd got hyped
Commentators hype it up because its their job. Crowd cheers because its funny.
when will we learn to play against rikka. how do we let get so far so much
even if u know rikka it would have won anyway
And how many YCS finals did you attend?
@@qaz6400debatable. The DD crow on lily borea was cringe
@@Alessandro-rn8tp ppl has forgotten how to interact with therions lol
Rikka is a good deck, but it's ridiculous how many people get to the final stages of the YCS and have to read the basics of the cards. Come on it's not an unknown deck, it's topped before, know your interactions!!
It is easy to say that, but after 17 rounds in two days is hard to remember all the interactions and choke points of every possible, even more if you did not face rikka until the final
you will also reread cards you already know just to be sure sometimes. especially like the guy above said after 17 rounds
its been a long day for them
A Meta with 10 viable decks is exhausting
@@shaaaaaaaaaaaisn't more viable deck in meta contender are what ppl been asking for year?
I didn’t know flipping a floodgate was considered ‘genius’ 🤦🏽♂️
Glückwunsch🎉
I’ve heard everyone saying that on G3 putting the Zeus in def was the vanquish soul player’s mistake but i don’t understand why?
Wasn’t his mistake just boardwiping w Zeus instead at the end of turn since Rikka Sheet is kind of like an imperm?
guess he didn't think about sheet and was scared of lightning storm
@@ahmedskep2207 Yes that’s exactly what i thought but then how was Zeus in Def a misplay? Not using its effect was the misplay instead no?
yes i agree. maybe he thought 1 interruption wouldn't be enough that's why he sat on four materials@@darethepolarbear5647
Zeus in defense position means he can crash in with Dryas and not lose it, so he's able to continue his combo with an extra material. Summoning Zeus in Attack would still get him Dryas's effect, but Dryas would be destroyed after the battle.
People forget that rikka sunavalon just hard counters tear since you tribute for cost
His only lose was against Tear tho👀
People need to respect the deck and learn the match up. Not preparing for Rikka given how many YCS finals its won blows my mind.
Its really low in representstion, so lot ppl dont bother to side cards againts it.
Its the third in a row in europe lol. One got 2nd and the other two its won
Why Julius shuffle the Lukas deck at last game? He didn't search anything.
Dieser Spinny Joke ging zu weit xD
So how come every time Rikka does well or wins a big event it's always either in europe, or played by a european?
NA is either chewing on meta and cancer burgers. Rikka doesnt exactly fit either.
Drawing the rikka sheet to beat zeus is just so unlucky on the VS player
It was already set, but the Zeus with 4 materials just wasnt used.
GG Germany
Julius really knew what he was doing, amazing display of the deck's capability when dealing with a sub optimal hand
Rikka best deck let's gooooo
VS able to win with TCBOO, so fun
Floodgates indeed good 👌 it makes lot of decks can technicaly have a chance too
rikka's fault for not drawing the out, if you playing VS, yk for sure its coming out
Guess rikka is just the European anomaly
Yep
It's difficult to play, but the deck at full power is a botanical nightmare for everyone you play against
Something wacky always wins Europe for some reason
Respect rikka
Rikka has been winning euro YCS almost for 2 years now . . . its been 3 majors rikka wins
@@GrEEnF1Re1 exactly my point guru control and prankids also won in Europe
Europe is a place that unusual decks just top in. Like, MONARCH almost topped this event, and Virtual World did top the event.
Man
Why so much ppl hate plants?
It's a bandwagon thing. It's the social media thing, where if EVERYONE doesn't love the winner. They try to pile on it. There are comments on UA-cam and DLM saying Rikka is autowin because no one knows what it does.
@@DirtCheapFU I'd be seriously concerned about the average skill level of EU if people over there still don't know what it does.
@@johnnywilson3071 I don't really thinks it has anything to with not knowing what they do, but how to negotiate their decks around it. Like running in at a low elevation to higher elevation. Sure, you know it sucks to run in Arizona but have you ran in Arizona. [Spoiler: There's no air there]
Rikkaaaaaa Let's Goooooooo
I Play agains rikka at a local .... lightningstorm and father duster were the winning cards that gave him a 2:1
Rikka getting hit
in minute 29:01 why he didnt activate zeus effect it has 4 materials? the rikka negate doesnt matter you chain zeus as cl 3 or am i missing something?
It was negated by rikka sheet if you go to 22:08
sheet doesnt negate, it prevents activations.
@@BlindOracle00 to my understanding it prevents activations on resolution, he could've chained zues, or at least i feel like he should've been able to, because sheet hasn't applied while building the chain
Sheet was used at 22:18, at that point yes he could have chain Zeus to get the material in grave before Sheet resolves. At 29:01 he can no longer use Zeus at all.
@@billynguyen4346 it woulda played into triple T which he had in hand actually
yugioh has fallen so hard from grace to the point tot he point where the highest level whoever goes first basically won the match. Then on ttop of that u get only ONE turn to play the game so sad at this point.
I've played Goat, Edison, and current.
I'll take Current where I know by turn 2 who is most likely winning the game.
Everything comes back to the starting hands for both players, no matter what format.
Goat has the same issue as Hearthstone and MTG, where there is a false chance to win, because you do get to take a few turns.
@@wickederebus u sound like u strictly play Yugioh because no other BUT Yugioh has this issue XD
@cfelton2nd I play Yugioh, MTG, Pokemon TCG, Grand Archive, Weiss Schwarz, and Vanguard.
I'm just using a couple of the more popular, and more commonly compared cards games, because they are often compared.
Also, speak English instead of that garbage short hand.
Guy pose a question on a YGO video and rebuttals, "Sound like you only play YGO". lol
No one cares what u say tbh
Why didn't he just activate Zeus in his MP2 to clear the board. He had two activations, did he really think his opponent could play through another Zeus activation with an empty board and 2 cards in hand? If he was worried about TTT, that was going to happen anyway after he activated Zeus in their turn. It's still better to do it when they have 1 card in hand, rather than 2. Better odds it's not TTT.
TTT
What exactly would that accomplish?
@@dathaker727 At the very least, it would draw him two cards and potentially unbrick his hand. It's just a risk assessment: I could very easily see a world where he saw the Rikka player brick turn 1 and wouldn't want him to give him more opportunities to draw an out.
Bruhhh he lost this game cause he all in on a Zeus play
And played it too safe with 4 materials.
It was either use the zeus wipe and dare him to top deck through Zeus *(remember he bricked game 3)* or if he wanted to pass that badly he should've went number 41 to slow him down

At 15:56, Therion "King" Regulus negated Book of Moon. Its effect is once per turn, so can I understand how he used its effect to attempt to negate Pot of Prosperity as well?
He negated book during his turn, then passed turn, then negated prosp
@@dathaker727 Oof thanks I didnt notice
at least vanquish soul could have broken up the monotony of rikka wins
What monotony? The deck winning? Rikka doing the same plays? VS did an excellent job pushing the other guy to make unconventional plays. That Dancepione gambles. That Game 1 save was a highlight.
You need to respect rikka.
@@DirtCheapFUrikka is a boring coin flip deck
Wait, how is it a coinflip deck? Is that statement from the sylvan link and it missing? During the main uninterrupted rikka combo they don't use the princessprite because of its unreliability, it's a backup plan if they get interrupted too much.
Not even that, in the first game for example i'm sure he was assuming to not to hit. Dancepione is really for the level manipulation and make strenna, if you hit something it's really nice but you setup your combo always considering you dont hit. Ofc if you got interrupted a lot and have no plays you try it but that "play" don't came up often
These commentators are super annoying lol

LOL Hate moar. Jesus Christ. I swear. The hatewagon is so entertaining. People really can't appreciate anything, without someone/some group wanting to burn it. Disregard the TCBOO. A non-floodgate deck, won a YCS. BURN THE CITY! Leave it in ashes.
People don't realise how difficult rikka is to play. the decks lines are non-linear, starting hands can be awkward at times and the decks best main-deck monster is a level 1 plant normal monster. The deck is awesome though, been thinking of playing it since it's win at last year's euros.
@@imth3nutr8ntyt97 most peoples IQ doesn't cross the treshold. That's the problem i guess. It is really a nice deck and a lot of fun to play :)

Is always funny to see brainless meta sheeps losing to "minor" decks, it seems happening most frequently, especially in big events
Too busy/dumb to jump on the next meta deck to see any other decks that can go good
Are you implying that Rikka and/or Vanquish aren't meta decks? Hahaha. Also imagine calling someone in a YCS final a "brainless meta sheep". You are the best proof that meta players are better than scum who thinks their niche fun deck would be a better deck than actual tournament decks played by actual pro players.
Cringe take. Playing a ycs with 10 meta decks is exhausting

Or wanna talk about people calling Vanquish neither in rogue decks? lol
Rikka won European and 2/3 YCS if my memory serves me correctly, but do you see people into rikka?
Ya, i think who play meta decks in a format where the rogue can compete almost in the same way, is pathetic lol
Plus i wanna add that when a new pack comes out i read every single card to see how i can use them but if you go even in a big tournament they need to read every single card 150 times if you're not playing the usual meta lol (even if the card is released yesterday or 5 years ago) and thats for me is also sad/pathetic
